Not really a "where's this then" but could be.
I had to take a photo of the place 'cause we were there this morning. Maybe the winter weather doesn't do it justice. I'm sure you know where it is.

Cheers

Eileen & Viv
Wendy usually takes all the good ones but this one is my baby. It doesn't look real but it is and I'm a bit pleased with it. You know where it is I expect.
( Even Wegg said Albania in the background looks "painted on" )

Fantastic picture Neill. Albania looks like it's a short walk! Must be north of Arillas, but I'm yet again ashamed to say that as an Arillas Addict, I barely know the surrounding area. From San Stefanos? Sidari? Someone, please put me out of my misery and tell me "where's this, then...."

with much affection

Phil

Hi
The memorial which I'm standing in front of is in Corfu Town, not far from the Cricket Pitch.  So what date does it commemorate? And what happened on that date?

My photo was taken at Acharavi. If I'd have faced left instead of right you would have got Roda in the background.

Not sure on the PJ memorial.

First thoughts were it was erected to commemorate the first time an English tourist found free parking in Corfu Town at 1:30 pm on a Monday. But as that probably hasn't happened yet I think it could be something linked with Ochi day ( 1940 ) or possibly 1947 when the islands were liberated.
Cheers
