Hello again, now that you lot have gotten me addicted to this wonderful place,i just wondered how everybody books? Do you book direct and sort your own flights? (which i am considering doing) Or do you book it using a tour operator i.e thomson and co?
many thanks for your advice.

We normaly book our own flights, check on the internet and go with the cheapest.  Have noticed over the years that the prices have gradualy increased and think we will start looking at package deals.  Once you add the price of the flight to the accommodation it can work out to be alot more expensive.  We have goen for a cheap package deal before think it was £99 each, used the flight and then stayed in Arillas.

this year we went with manos, next june we are going independant,it all depends where you want to stay in arillas as some apartments are not with agents ,but do get several qouotes befor booking. also booking independently you can get 10/11 nights instead of 7/14 nights ,good luck ...

Seems to depend on where you are coming from and when you are going. We went independant in the summer, which worked out cheaper than the package for what we wanted, but are going package in 10 days time as that was cheaper at the time I booked it.

I prefer independant as I think there are some fantastic properties available that do not use agents.

As a family of 5 we found (years ago) that it was cheaper to get package deals late on but now that we have found out perfect accommodation, which can only be booked privately, we get our flights on the internet (usually XL) and pay the owners direct. We never pay more than £1500 for everything which is mega cheap when you price packages up now.

That said,if it is just for two, I would imagine you could pick up a package deal cheaper. Particularly with Corfu Escape or a smentioned previously, just getting any deal to Corfu then making your own way to resort

Hi

We have looked at both options and you just need to keep looking at what you want for yourselves .  It can depend on where you want to stay, where you are flying from and how long you want to stay etc. We have used both options at different times dependant upon price and locations , you just need to keep looking .

We are definitely going independently next year, Manos prices are coming up at over £300 each for 1 week in June, if we diy it is working out at just over £200 for 9 nights, that's with flights from Gatwick.
Only downside is trying to get a reply to e-mails that we've sent to accommodation owners!

Some only look at their E-Mails once a week.
