If you like Google Earth, you will love this program that can be downloaded from the following web site  ....

http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

You need a good quality graphics card to run it properly.

Terry,I use Google earth all the time at school, make things cross curricular as possible, reading a book set in S.Africa, so hey presto, off to Jo'burg. Great for the kids to see things as they are.
Will have a look at Corfu.
Also just downloading the wind thing - it's taking ages though.

Has anyone seen the UK "Street View" on Google Earth?

I think Sandy might be able to see her house and street in Southampton. Quite a few other cities have been covered and the photographs are really clear.

Something for Wegg to have fun with whilst Eggy is playing darts,

Sorry for being nerdy again, but I just love maps.

Thank heaven it will take a while before our little rural stone cottage is so clear! Might give me time to sort out the garden... The neighbours can put up with it, but I'd HATE the whole world to know how not-green my fingers have become!

Haven't tried to find Sandy's house on the map out of respect for her. But before long it will be the North beach in Arillas. Here is where Sandy goes with retsina and crocs, here is where Phil goes with absolutely nothing, here is....

Just hope I'm not resident at the time.

1984? Big Brother? I can't wait to move to Corfu. But that will make no difference either. What happened to privacy?

great topic Terry.
Phil

Has anyone noticed the "Big Blue Thing" in the sea near Arillas? Does anyone know what it is?
