Youll see, from the above link, that the bench is moving slowly down the jetty in preparation for it's Winter makeover, to be back for next years Summer party.

This was taken yesterday so is probably just meandering past Coconut, as I type.

Oh dear, W/we should be grateful for what the people of Arillas do for us, find it horrible that everyone is a critic of how our lovely friends should treat a 'chair' purely for their enjoyment and obviously take it totally over all the time, and not allow 'new strangers' to partake of the 'chair' We have always felt threatened that we cannot sit on the bench cos of the 'favourite people' how sad is that? We will never sit on there because we know we are not the favoured people.

We share the bench with everyone, this year we had the pleasure of encountering a family from Ecuador, and we took pictures of them on the bench! they then offered the bench to us and take our photo! a real international moment! and fantastic. Stay well old bench, see you next year x

Rumour has it that the bench, next Summer, will be fitted with a "Buttock Sensor" with "ejector seating".
The sensor will take an imprint of your posterior every 30 minutes. If after one hour this detects the same imprint the ejector seating will come into force. They will be a warning sign telling occupants not to doze off whilst taking in the peaceful surroundings. -
I imagine that many people will be seen diving off the jetty end , next Summer. Hmmmmm!!!

Overnight rain was measured at 22mm, this morning, but we now find a dry and mild 15deg Arillas today at just gone the 12 o'clock spot.

Weggs recording of the weather makes it the wettest November for 5 years, recording 221.5 mm, most of which seemed to follow me around!!

Chairs guys! - Sorry, Cheers Guys

Heather the bench is for the use of ALL who wish to use it. The fact that it was donated by forum members means nothing except that it was to replace one that fell foul to the elements. There are no favourite or favoured people. It is a public bench.

It was also to commemorate the memory of a much loved young resident, Kostas, whose  restaurant is still run by family members opposite the beach.

It is stored each winter, overhauled and put back in the spring by Dimitris. It has become the symbol of the end and the beginning of the Arillas season.

After my last post, it continued to rain most of the afternoon and now sits on 13 deg outside.

Armourada, this afternoon, was a mini Piccadilly Circus. with "Rain Lovers" loving the rain from a cosy log burner. Funny 'ole game, this weather.

A soggy Tuesday beckons, methinks!

Sounds great Neill. How we would love to be sitting by the log burner in Amourada. Take care and enjoy the not freeeeeezing weather (forecast here for tomorrow and onwards). x

Rain, not too bad, 13 degrees ok.   Rain with snow expected, 2degrees or less, just bad. :(

Aha now it has all become clear - Billy told me last night that he had spent the day chopping wood to make a fire - I asked him if he was having a bonfire and he said yes for the room lol - I'm guessing he meant for the log burner ha ha! Oh to be there sat next to it - I can but dream xx

Hi Neill,

Yesterday at 6.30am I took my son for a job interview in Bolton on my way to work. We took the hilly route over the top of Winter Hill. When we passed through Belmont (a little village on the tops) I saw snow on the cars parked outside the little cottages. The car thermometer said 1 degree... nice eh?!!!

Jez

Bye the way, is my roof being replaced yet?

All I can tell you is that the guys have been around there a  few times in the last 10 days or so.
