W for "What's this?" Does anybody know what this is? It was outside a church in Old Town, Corfu Town.

Terry, Is that thing outside the church where saint spiros is kept? I think it might be for prayers. (You know, when you put candles to pray for someone?)

Hi Maggie

I am not sure which church it was but it was at the end of one of the narrow streets with shops.

Hi everyone
It must be time for A again.
This time its A for ALBANIA.
(Eggy please avert your eyes because there are Speedos in this one again).
Yes I know its me in  my snorkel gear on the beach at Saint Spiridon, but if you look closely the background mountains are in Albania.

This pic was taken in 2004 and I'd just swum out to the little island with the flag on it.  When I got back to the beach my dear wife was asleep and had missed my heroic efforts - she did say she would take a photograph though and you see the result.
Best wishes to all the splendid contributors to this thread and especially to Terry who started it.
