I might use the Cicada Pic, if its ok with you Lozicle, to add a sound track to it. I know thats a bit sad but I love messing about.

What is a cicada exactly? It looks disgusting!

I dont really know what I am doing... but I have been using Imageshack... and it has a resizing area..  I use the message board and tick that, or you can use the thumbnail for small things.,  it's all trial and a lot of errors!

A cicada is an insect of the order Hemiptera, suborder Auchenorrhyncha, in the superfamily Cicadoidea, with large eyes wide apart on the head and usually transparent, well-veined wings. There are approximately 2,500 species of cicada around the globe, and many remain unclassified. Cicadas live in temperate to tropical climates where they are one of the most widely recognized of all insects, mainly due to their large size and remarkable (and often inescapable) acoustic talents.
Cicadas do not bite or sting, are benign to humans, and are not considered a pest. Many people around the world regularly complement their standard diet with cicadas: the female is prized for eating as it is meatier. Cicadas have been eaten (or are still eaten) in Ancient Greece, China, Malaysia, Burma, Australia, Latin America and the Congo.

So there ya go !
That particular one was about 2 - 3 inches long. Ugly little bugger too.

By all means Terry, you're very welcome to use the image :)

Eileen

2-3 inches long...yeuch.   Despite the deafening noise they make, which seems to reach a crescendo in the early evening, I've yet to see one.  I'm going to keep my peepers open now that I know what they actually look like.

...but I defo wont' be munching on one!

I think Cicada Crunch with Olives sounds like a lovely starter. How about trying it Dimitris as the Brouklis Bush Tucker special? I'd try it.....honest
