                                 XERACH
Xerarch describes a plant succession originating in a dry habitat, starting from barren, arid conditions like rock deserts or sand dunes and progressing over time to a mature forest, a process also known as a xerosere. The term comes from the Greek "xero" (dry) and "-arch" (beginning or leader).

This is a Sea Daffodil Pancratium maritimum Not only can this remarkable plant withstand the soaring temperatures of a Mediterranean summer, but it is also specially adapted to thrive in the harsh, salt-laden conditions of the sandy beaches which are its home.
