Hi

That looks like a Carpenter Bee

Carpenter bees are species in the genus Xylocopa of the subfamily Xylocopinae. The genus includes some 500 bees in 31 subgenera. The common name "carpenter bee" derives from their nesting behavior; nearly all species burrow into hard plant material such as dead wood or bamboo. The main exceptions are species in the subgenus Proxylocopa; they dig nesting tunnels in suitable soil.

You could be right Kev, but all the carpenter bees I have seen have much more fragile and thinner wings.

The only Carpenter Bees that I have seen were carrying a handsaw and pencil.

I would never make fun of "Boos" ..... as it sounds like Booze to me. - Treat booze with respect. - I am sure nobody would "Boo" that.

It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than  to speak up and remove all doubt.
