Are the leaves hairy or scented what color are the flowers dose the plant spread how high

Hairy leaves , quite a smooth "fruit" and spreads over the ground , not upwards.
(am told "Be careful not to "pop" the berry , wear gloves and burn it/dump it but not compost it)
