I ahve just arrived back from Arillas having had two great weeks at the Bardis Sun with my Partner and 7 month old son Alex.
Spiros, Poppy, Bobby and George were the perfect hosts and could not do enough for us, despite their long hours they always had time for a chat and a smile (or was that the happy pills bobby?). As for george well if he gets a less dodgy pool table I think he's beatable!!!!

As for Alex well he had his own fan club and our hosts could not do enough to ensure he was Mosqito free and happy.

The apartments themselves were exceptional and cleaned regularly and Bardis Sun was one of the more presentable places in Arillas to stay.

Corfu Escape proved to be very professional and a step a head of the more well known tour operators and Nancy could not do enough for any one.

Over all We can not priase Corfu Sun or the Bardis Sun enough for their hospitality and profressionalism making our holiday very memorable.

Many thanks to Nancy, Poppy, George and Bobby
Nick, Marie and Alexander.
Hope to see you again.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday and stay with the great hosts at The Bardis Sun, we also went with Corfuescape in May and it was an excellent service and excellent value too!

We will be arriving at the Bardis Sun Studios on Monday 27th August. It is our first time to Arillas and after reading all the reviews I feel I already know Spiros, Poppy and their sons. I can just about taste my first Mythos. So if your'e reading this Spiros, fill up your fridge.

See you all on Monday arriving at Corfu at 09.40

If you type in Bobby on the search you should find a photo of him somewhere. (Poppy and Spiros son)

Our friends arrived at the Bardis Sun today..... they have been allocated the same room as we had too, no. 3.  This is their first visit to Arillas on our recommendation and they texted us when they arrived and said they love it!  So David and Julie.... have a fantastic holiday!  They are there for two weeks and if anyone is going during that time please give them our love and also to Poppy, Spiros and the boys!

I am so envious I wish I was there too.

Our friends came back from Arillas yesterday, they had a brilliant time and would go back.

Although they did tell us that it has gone up £100 each for next year.  When you can get bargains like we did the last two years for £269 each, another £200 seems a bit excessive to me so we will have to re think where we stay or even where we go.  I think some of the loyal regulars/friends will probably still go but I am sure we can find somewhere equally as nice for a bit cheaper, we always do.  I know some would be prepared to pay that but we cant really for to pay nearly £800 for two of us in just a studio and I know that it is probably the "going" rate of some holidays.  It looks like they have had two years of really good business with cheaper holidays, reeled in the customers and now put the prices up, they are fully booked all the time as well.  So the extra money of £100 per person seems a lot to me.  What does anyone else think.

Hiya, we got back yesterday and we were next door to your friends, really nice to meet them.  We checked on prices for next September 08 and for 2 weeks it was £350 each.  It was more than we paid this year but then our friends who stayed at the Horizon paid 55 euros a night for the room this time and almost £200 each for flights from the UK and 100 euros for a return trip in the taxi.  So, it made it look cheap still.  We will always look around but with more and more accommodations going private in 2008 it will be interesting to see if you can get it cheaper in the resort.  I suspect not.  We had another friend who managed to get an apartment for 20 euros a night but that was due to the fact that she did a long stay.  She would have paid 35 euros a night for a 2-week holiday and still had flights and taxi to pay too.  Also it was much further inland.  I know Nancy has tried to keep the prices down and has even covered the additional bill for airport taxes that came through this year as she didn't think it was fair to pass this on to the customers.  She has explained that she cannot continue to run at a loss.  We still think £700 is good for us both on a 2-week holiday early September but obviously it's personal choice : o )

An increase of £100 per person is a lot, taking into account that quite a lot of hoteliers are going private.
I hope they have not shot themselves in the foot. The Corfuescape/Bardis Sun experience is very good, very professional and a guaranteed wonderful holiday.
But for most the cost is the most important thing.
My intention was to book again with Corfuescape but now I will shop around.
