My wife and i have holidayed in arillas for the past eleven years, each time staying at the Kaloudis, wonderful place, one of our favourite places to eat is the Arilla Inn we have some friends in arillas at the moment who tell us it,s closed i know Leo who runs the Arilla Inn also runs Ammos bar next door i just wondered if anyone knew why its closed and is it likely to be open in September when we arrive

As far as we know it is closed for the season due to family problems......

When in Arillas in June there seemed to be talk about it re-opening on the weekend of 24th June.  I mentioned this to a restaurant owner who said that similar rumours had been heard before, but nothing had happened.  I think Sandy is right - it looks as if it will be closed for the season.

Is the Arilla Inn closure also affecting AMOS?

just got back on 16th july ,inn was still shut .due to family problems, heard from alex supermarket a family,s house had burnt down, maybe that is the problem.shame the food and company was lovely .but hope it will open soon.

Maggie

I think the family who's house burned down is a different family. Did you see the piggy bank in Alex' supermarket? Apparently the family lost everything, but thanks to other villagers, builders etc. the house is being fixed.I'm sure we all can afford a few euro to put inthe piggy tho....

We heard it was a family and it was due to an electrical fault, no one was hurt though.

We spent a lot of time at Ammos.  We LOVED it!  I believe the reason the Arilla Inn is not open is something to do with a family argument...

loved the chill out mood of ammos  but music was a bit weird at times but the cocktails made up for it

The Piggy bank is a good idea, we should all put something in.

Mick and Jill

I had heard that it was closed due to a family argument.  They must be loosing alot of money.
