We never used the pool once this year and spent most of the time in the sea to cool off has anyone noticed in the sea the cold and warm currents as you swim ?

That's part of the pleasure I think, Tony. I didn't get in a pool the whole month but Jen used most of them all over the village. I was in the sea a lot and it was always warm but as you say, with cold currents now and then. So enjoyable at the far end of the beach.

The sea was lovely and warm this last week....but the pools were freezing even by my standards!!

Wish I was there now, Sandy!

Welcome abroad Sandy, homesick as perhaps a few of us realise....

I love being in the sea there, and last October 30th it was as warm as it had been in July. The pools were too cold for even Jen, and she can swim in a freezer!

Lynn and Colin, Phil and Jen have the same malady as you. Wish we were there......

Arillas beach is perfection. Stay at Marinakis or Kaloudis,  Right by the beach. Or Mirage, or Arillas Bay. Or Bardis. All right by the beach. Anywhere really - Brouklis rooms always sound good.

In 2008 Arillas beach was superb. Spent many a long hour there. I might be the forum anorak, but I know what I like.

If i was waking up to Arillas tomorrow Phil, i don't care Beach or Pool. :D

Hi, riggers  Hi, Phil.     I have to say, it`s got to be the beach for us. As we are staying at Kaloudis next, just fall out of bed onto the beach- bliss!!!  Take a cool bag with some cans, what more can you want.
Look forward to bumping into you guys in June.

Well im sticking my neck on the line to dig up this thread!
Its a great debate!

i must admit i like the pool in the morning then i like to go down to the beach
in the afternoon when the sun has been on the sea and starts to warm it up
(cos im a big puff!) lol
but then comes a weekend and its  must to vist the beech on a weekend, all the locals are out enjoying their weekend, its a good atmosphere, multi-languges are spoken but everyone understands the little nod for "come n have a kick about with us"
lol

Happy days :) !
