Sally and I always went with Manos,we always found them very good.until flights started from Exeter which Manos do not use sadly as we both are getting past long trips upto Bristol Airport just to get a flight with Manos to Corfu.

We have had corfu holidays with Manos and had no problems.  The reps in Agios Gordios were super, no problem too big or small. Were always very professional.  Having said that, we flew with Thomas Cook last year to Arillas and they were brilliant too.

I think we are with Monarch this year, booking through Corfu Escape.  My daughter works for them so if there are any problems I can have a right moan to her.

Yes we do fly with Monarch Sue, also i checked about the flight meals with Nancy at Corfuescape and apparently they are included in the price this year too, £189 each for a week, flight, taxes, supplements, transfers, accomodation, not bad ay!!

I thought the price we paid too for two weeks was brilliant, 259 with no extras.  Amazing!  So often you see offers than you get 'gobsmacked' by the extra fuel, supplements tax etc... and what you pay for two people with Corfuescape the total is for one with others!
There are bargains to be had though.  Last year we had two weeks for 269 which wasnt last minit, one lady did a last minit and got two weeks for 212.  I expect there will be the same offers again this year.

Do you know if anyone has stayed at the Hotel Helena in Ag.George north as there were good deals there last year.

There are always bargains to be had if you look hard enough, like our holiday to Mexico in September, the price we paid in Thomson was the internet price cos they have to match it, we got it for £654 each all inclusive in a 4 star hotel, i checked it a few weeks later on the internet and the price had gone up to £860 each, i couldnt believe it, so i definitely booked it at just the right time!

I dont know if anyone has stayed there, just to double check, is Ag. George the place you pass on the transfer and its got a curved beach at the bottom with cliffs either side, not that far from Arillas, with the hotel??

Smiffy,
Ag George north is just Below Afionis, its a good walk for a cool day,go up through the olive grove as if you are going to Afionis, where the trail comes out on the road, carry onto Afionis and where the road forks take the left hand fork(the right takes you upto Afionis). You then walk down the hill and into Ag George which is quite a long resort taking up the whole of the bay.Only downside of this walk is the walk back its uphill all the way untill you get to the trail back down through the olive grove, thats why i say its a good walk for a cool day.

It is the place im thinking of then, with the bay, when we passed it i remember thinking that it looked a really place, we shall have to go there i think.  If we dont manage the walk is it far in a taxi??

harold

Hi smiffy, its about 10/15 minutes by taxi thats all,we stayed in Ag George North about12/15 years ago at the Golden beach hotel and had a super holiday

Think I will give that walk a miss then... dont fancy walking uphill all the way back.  We walked to San Stef. and back but preferred Arillas to stay in.  I would like to walk to Afionis, might actually make it all the way this time.
