Hi Tony,

It's great to hear that you have decided to stay in Arillas:-)

Do you think you could give us all a little help by telling us if you would prefer to stay in an hotel, self-catering apartment or a villa?  Do you prefer to be near the beach with sea-views, or in a semi-rural location?  A pool/bar/children facilities?  Do you want to do a package or arrange a diy holiday?

No matter where you stay you are bound to love Arillas...and dare I say it?...you will become hooked like the rest of us Arillas addicts!

Eileen.

Hi, over the years we have stayed at the:

Hotel Marina - basic rooms, excellent location
Arillas Inn Apartments - large rooms and in a quieter location
Makris - Large apartments with seperate kitchen and swimming pool

But our favourite has to be Portofino.  Basic rooms but then who wants to cook when your on holiday, excellent company as the same couples are always there at the same time as us.  Brilliant location, gorgeous sunsets and with Spiro as the host what more could we ask for.  It's like going to see family every time we go back.  Well thats me totaly depressed now sitting here thinking of what I'm missing over there, rolll on September.

Hi Jill,

When in September are you and Mick over?  Keith and I arrive around the 18th for 5 days.

Hi Tony,

We are in the process of collating all the holiday questionnaires given out to the holiday makers this year on properties within our brochures. The Mirage has had excellent reviews, mainly due to its position right on the beach and so has the Marvel (especially the half board option) this year. Unfortunately not been to either yet but will rectify this soon.

Thanks Joe,

Sounds a very good idea, please keep us posted.

Eileen, did you not have a favourite place before you bought your villa?

No problem,

I'm going to the Mirage in 3 weeks so I'll do some spying and let you know how it goes.

Yes Tony we did have a favourite place, it was the Mathraki studios.

The studios are bright and clean, there is also a pool with a small pool bar.  The main attraction though is the lovely family who own the studios.  Nicolette, Costa and their son Akis are very unobtrusive, but always there quietly in the background to cater for their guests whims.  Not too far to walk to beach etc either.

When for one reason or another we have not stayed at the Mathraki we have stayed in the following:

Annas-Very spacious studios/apartments with large bar area and friendly family. Up a fairly steep hill so maybe not so suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

The following booked privately;

Thomas Bungalows-Peaceful quiet setting on level ground, easy walking distance to beach.  No pool, but lovely gardens.  Well equipped bungalows, front and rear terraces ideal for al fresco meals.  Again, a lovely friendly family.

Galini-Lovely large top floor corner apartment with great views.

Tria Adelphia-Stayed in one of their brand new apartments with air conditioning at the end of April. (hah, in April we had to use the hot-air control!)  Highly recommended, good food, super family, Phil is a natural comedian!

Eileen.

P.S I have arranged various apartments for other members of my family, the most impressive being the Marinaki (owned by the Marina hotel) on the seafront at the San Stef end.

Hi Eileen

We are hoping to go over on the 29th September if we can get a bargain flight.  I know what you are like for finding your bargains so if you see any flying from Newcastle I would really really appreciate an email.

The Villa is looking great

Hi Tony,

My mum lives just across the road from the Mathraki Apartments and she often uses the Swimming pool there. Have to agree with Eileen that this would be a good choice (especially for a first visit), my Mum raves about how nice and friendly they are there. The location is perfect to, close enough to everything withjout being right on top of it all.
