Hi
Restrictions on carry liquids over 100ml in hand luggage are being temporarily reintroduced at some regional airports.
The change will apply from 00.01 BST on Sunday June 9th 2024 affecting:
Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, London City Aberdeen, Southend and Teesside.
The Department for Transport reintroducing the restrictions would '' enable further improvement to be made and was not in response to any specific threat it' a temporary measure than can be reversed in due course''

Hi
At Gatwick this am all the ladies had to remove makeup from their hand luggage and place it in a separate tray for scanning. [not sure about the men lol)

Although Gatwick have not started to use the new 3D scanners perhaps there is a security issue which
is why the airports that had the 3D scanners have ceased using them until further notice.

Anybody travelling from Leeds that can give us an idea of queueing times?
Thanks

Hi Karen

I know you flew from Leeds the Year it was horrendous - Since then Jill & I have always booked Fast Track (£5 each)

Great value from Leeds - We did the same at East Midlands last Year & TBH didn't need it but it was peace of mind for a Tenner.

Hi

Have read an acticle that said the reintroduction of the 100ml rule was due to a higher-than-expected rejection rate, which resulted in security officers having to search cabin baggage by hand.

Hopefully I will be able to pack  mustard in my hand luggage again soon.lol
