Arillas Beach size and conditions 2024

Today, I managed to take a picture from your favourite spot Akrotiri on the hill between Arillas and San Stefanos .
You can see that sand is building up to the north part of the beach while the south part is so much wider that we rarely expience. You can clearrly see the ''underwater sand waves that will hopefully move  towards the coast. am home agin in austria- was an incredible time - the kindness of people was totally unbelivable. i was looked after by so many  - was a little poorly and so had to cchange flight, dr papadopalos amzing as ever, horizon did all they could and more. met up with many old friends -gratziela as well -  the scattering of rainers ashes for his last wish was beautiul.
once again arillas has given me a reason for life and happiness again

The beach has shrunk back a bit since yesterday following a day of waves. Great fun in the sea as long as you're a good swimmer. Lots of sunbeds up at the north end for those who like to go naked but despite new signage ( some of which has already been defaced) there are still a lot of nudists at either side of the main beaches. Unfortunately the signs are not in German. We discussed this today with Dimitri's on the beach. Out of 12 sets of beds, 5 were occupied by nudist who seem to revel in strolling back & forth at the waters edge. One chap in particular stood knee deep in the sea right on front of us, arms stretched above his head as if displaying everything for those on the beach!Dimitri's had asked them earlier in the week to move but they refused. I heard one old lady the other evening say 'I didn't expect to see his todger!'.
It is possible to walk through the water to the North End.
Unless the law is enforced somehow I suspect it will continue to be broken

I always find it really awkward with a young daughter, 11 tbis year, when this sort of tbing happens. I have no issue whatsoever witb nudists but please show some thought for non nudists......

Karen - what part of the beach do they seem to be on mostly? I will have a 9 and 5 year old this year, we saw a few last year but seems more this year. My daughter is very uncomfortable with it. Thanks

The part of the beach they were most prevalent on today was Dimitri's beds. Just as you go down the slope onto the beach. He has 2 sections, the first part is ok but the second part just past the outstanding crop is where they like to hang out (literally!)
Dimitri's asked us if we wanted to move but we like that bit of beach

Naturists are Naturists but rules are rules!!!
You wanna get yer kit off then do it in accordance with the rules and do not possibly offend those who follow the rules,

and.... I wonder what any naturist would do if you sat alongsiide them and played yer music loader than usual?? -- (Against the Rules vs Against the Rules?)

All this said there are many naturists who settle down and do what they do. It's the posers who decide they want to make a point.
(No points if the water is cold , just a saggy statement)

Anyway. I refuse to take off my kit as I would look like arfar bananna on an olive branch.
