That is good news.We are taking euros but also some cash"just incase"

justphil

I do not believe it. We are celebrating euro just touching 1.10! Chris and Mark's mum, our own forum Margaret Meldrew, must feel the same. Tell us about it luvver...

Fine for French, German, Spanish, Irish and every other Euro country including our Greece who want to buy things from the UK. They get everything cheap.

But disaster for Arillas - most of the income comes from us lot who are struggling with it in the other direction. Full occupancy of the accommodation at a paltry 6 euros profit a night from the Tour Operators, but nothing in the till each day, spells disaster. It can't go on like that for too long.

We don't need the crunch to kill off lame ducks - I would like to see Arillas expand a bit, rather than lose anything. We have a few lame ducks, but like Judy and the donkeys, I would rather we rehabilitated them. Sea Breeze comes to mind. Really bad press recently but still worth saving. Yanni, get yer finger out...

Jen and me are so glad we didn't let heart rule head. We are still young (relatively) and can do better in a while. Poverty we can cope with - but tent on the beach is only a holiday....

If UK had joined we would be living in or about Arillas right now. And guess what? I have opposed it at every opportunity. W****r.
