Hi to Everyone,
I am new to this site (well, it's only my second post) but today I have only just worked out how to start a new thread!
I am looking forward to our first visit in Arillas although it isn't until 10th September, when we go for a fortnight.
I found the information on eating in Arillas very helpful (thanks, Dimitris).  My only problem is that I hate to offend the locals when eating out, as I love to try any Greek food I can, but being part vegetarian this is sometimes a problem.  (I used to eat meat but 15 years ago I developed an aversion to eating flesh, although this is not totally logical as I do eat fish)
Anyway this is rather a long winded way of asking what I wanted to say!  I noticed that Stuffed Peppers are popular with you Arillas fans - do they come sometimes without meat, can anyone please let me know?
Thanks, Lynn

Hi. Don`t worry, you will be very well catered for in Arillas.

I think I have read that some are stuffed with cheese/rice..  Smiffy might know if I remember correctly I think they are one of her many favourites but she will let us know.

Hi Lynn,

I always had the stuffed peppers at Thalassa Restaurant which is along the seafront, they are gorgeous, they were stuffed with a tomatoey rice and other veg, they are delicious, a must!

But please dont be afraid to ask if things contain meat if youre not sure, they wont be offended at all, that goes for every restaurant, they will just want you to enjoy your meal 100%, or ask them what they would recommend for someone who doesnt eat meat, theres loads to choose from.

Im positive you will have a fab time in September, be sure to post your experiences when you get back :-)

I am reminded of a scene in My Big Fat Greek Wedding " Your Vegetarian......Vegetarian......Ah no problem I will cook Lamb"
Not helpful I know.
You will find plenty to amuse your tastebuds. Spare a thought for me. I am taking my Vegetarian, Coeliac Cousin who doesnt really like fish or drink much!
Recently converted her to Pims so who knows.

Another good scene was one from The Royale Family, 'she's a vegetarian? Can she have some wafer thin ham?' - Classic.
I had a colleague who wasn't the brightest button, she offered her friend a scotch egg!

blondegirl

HA HA HA HA HA!  I remember that one Hels Bels...

A Scotch egg?  What did she think was on the outside?  Very funny.
