Hi Gem.

Yes as Keith says it is family run. Sea front location (20metres). This place is absolutely spotlessly clean. Fantastic pool, onsite supermarket, oh i could go on (no comments please).

Hope you enjoy.

You can find the Kaloudis by walkig along seafront past portofino. When the road runs out you turn right the advertising says Splish splash and walk the 20 yards up the slope. The supermarket is on your right. Hope this helps

My tickets arrived this morning in a smart pocket guide book - must be a new thing for Thomsons.
It says we are staying in the Kaloudis Studios 2.

We have just returned from our second stay at Kaloudis. I would say that the accommodation is very basic. The cooking facilities are rather rudimentary and you will need to take things like soap, washing up liquid and sponge, clothes pegs, toilet roll and MOSQUITO REPELLENT (my husband has had to visit our local hospital this morning because of an infected bite). I guess that I have been spoilt by holidaying in self catering in the UK where the standard is very much higher.
On the plus side, the people are very friendly and helpful. It has the best pool area in Arillas and the location is brilliant.
We had a great holiday although the weather was somewhat cooler than last year and I found Arillas rather subdued this year due to the credit crunch.

Hi Holly.

You must have been there at the same time as us. We came came home on Tuesday.
We stayed above the shop.

To be honest, in any self catering I have been in Spain or Greece, I would not expect pegs, soap, washing liquid etc.  Only a supply a toilet rolls upon arrival.  I am taking bacon over and some other small bits incl pegs.
I am even taking a travel kettle too.
As long as its clean and has the minimum of items such as cups, plates, frying pan etc, I will be quite happy.

We just buy everything when we get there - including bacon. It can work out cheaper, and of course, it leaves more room in the case.

We will be staying at the Kaloudis next May and to be honest we are not too bothered about the standard of equipment as the food is so good in the restaurants we always eat out.   We are going for the ambience and sheer joy of being back in Arillas :)

I even take a toaster!!! Every year i say i will leave it behind but always manage to find room for it. The toaster has now had many foreign holidays including 4 to Arilas.
