As I said I couldn't help myself :) glad I don't do Facebook or I would have no surprises to look forward to.
I know what I am like.....but the the pictures were great, I just won't look at any more, promise ;)

Keep the photo's coming Bella, they're nice to see - it's something to keep us going til we get there. :-)
I doubt these will spoil any surprises as it will all look much nicer in the summer when it's all finished - plus, a photo is no where near as good as seeing it in person!
I've just looked at the other photo's and it seems you've picked the best of the bunch anyway. - I didn't go on the jetty last year, i will be doing this year though! :D

my post was to promote Arillas to all tourists. To show how much they care about their village and beach and how they spend their own money and time improving it for all of us and to secure the Blue Flag status. I did not set out to upset the 'regulars' by showing what was being done ahead of their visits but will apologise if I have ruined the 'surprises' for them.

Don't worry guys, if you worry that is, there are still many surprises. The only reason I haven't let them outa the bag is I still have problems making the photos big enough to appreciate.
Well done, Vasilis, as well for taking the time to keep us all updated.

These look fantastic, especially the trees - excellent, well done to all concerned.
I also don't do facebook. It just wouldn't do for people to know where I was and what I was doing most of the time... particularly when I am supposed to be working!

Hey - am very impressed that the jetty has had some attention at long last - great news. Also am pleased that the trees along the front are increasing in number. They get quite a bashing over the winter.

I always love hearing about the changes on forum. And the pics. Love inspecting them when I get there, and not at all bothered that I knew before.
It seems to me that our Dimitri's efforts are paying off, and the authorities are starting to invest in the sustainable, popular tourism that Arillas offers. I feel a very successful year in the offing for our wonderful hosts.

Wow, so glad that i will be able to walk along much easier, although I have to say I will sort of miss the rough 'rustic' look as well. It was an accident waiting to happen I suppose though...

Great to see these photos - thank you for posting them. I always feared stumbling and ending up in the sea when navigating the jetty!
I'm off to other Greek places this year - but will be back home in Arillas soon! -so I for one will be happy to see photos of the changes to feed my Arillas addiction. My mum & her chap will be there in June (2nd visit) and they are enjoying seeing the improvements to an already fabulous place.

With the little push Arillas is having for early visitors thus year
Does anybody know if there any plans to put the seat on the jetty for Easter.
