The mozzies are there waiting for you.Once we went and thought we would be ok and never took any spray but we lived to regret it they havent eaten anyones blood all winter so are manic for your blood from early may onwards beware take extra strong spray from boots.

I once asked Yannis at Thalassa when don't you have mosquitos? His answer was clear. "In December."

I believe the island used to be sprayed, which helped. I found the best way to help with bites, was to take a dip in a swimming pool.Seemed to help with bites.

Brillant idea Kevin....... Phil this should be so easy for you to do for Jen.
You can buy mozzie nets cheaply in any camping shop, I will be able to leave the doors open all night and not be like a dot to dot game in the morning.
We have been to Thassos a few times and all the apartments and hotels have screens fitted to all doors and windows.

Val meluvver, both Brouklis rooms and Bardis Sun Studios have mozzie screens over the patio doors. It isn't at night that Jen gets bitten, it is sitting in the tavernas in the evening. So now she covers up and sprays DEET on every available piece of skin. And it works. So she has eanbled me to spend more time in my slice of heaven. It was her idea to go back in 2007.

Oblivious to real life, just enjoying the taste sensastions being thrown at her like Aces in a tennis match. Overjoyed by fantastic company. Drinking krasi. Watching the sun set. Was she right or WHAT?

The little bu**ers never touch me. The big ants seem to find my legs attractive and it looks bad, but apart from visual they never hurt me. Unlike the blasted mozzies that NEARLY ended Jen's (and therefore my) relationship with Arillas.

OMG. I so need to be there tonight.

I like the idea of using suction cups to hold the net over the bed but what if it lets go ???
I use those elastic twangy things with hooks on each end and string them across the room !
Usually from wardrobe to patio doors and then move the bed to be under it !
I wish they would just put a hook in the ceiling over the bed ... !! lol

Meanwhile the Jungle plug in's with the bottle attached seem to work great and last a whole two weeks.
We use "skin-so-soft" to keep them at bay while we are out ....

Can't wait ....
