I'm going to try to load some pictures of our house build ... fingers crossed !
More build pictures ...
Having trouble getting my pictures small enough !
I was told to post these ! I hope I am not boring you guys !
It does look a bit grand but it really isn't and as I said its taken 5 years to get this far !
One day ?
Thanks for sharing those wonderful photos!!
I truely admire anyone who have the courage to start building a
new home, especially in a new country. What an adventure.
As for myself, I'm a bit more cautious and prefer just to rent.
But if you have the money and the guts, it's an investment for life.
And I'm sure, either way, none of us will ever regreat!!

Looks good to me Curt :-)
Wow, such a beautiful setting. Keep posting. :)

Ah Wow Curt!! I am sure that all those sweat and tears are worth it when you see what you have achieved. You lucky people!
Looks good Curt,
Where's the location?
Negg
If you click on the link and it works ? Our house is in the middle of the map (no roof yet)
Then you can make the map show a larger area with the + / -
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?ll=39.767616,19.707123&spn=0.0032,0.006909&t=h&z=18&vpsrc=6
Eggy ... If you start at the supermarket cross roads at Sidari and take the road toward Arillis then about 1/2 mile along this road you can see the house on the hill to your left.
Its quite hard to find the track up to the house and to be honest its almost impossible at this time of year without a 4x4 !!
Glad you guys like it ... we still can't believe its ours !
Looking good, Curt!
Looking forward to more photos as work progresses.....

Looks a nice job Curt, the steel reinforcement looks like a piece of art. Is there any brickwork?
Yes we have brickwork ! And a roof !
Must be nice to see your own house going up like that. Good job Curt! :)
Curt - It's great to see pictures of your build progressing - I've just checked my pm's to see when it was that you origionally sent me the pics of the frame - APRIL 2009 - WOW - doesn't seem THAT long ago. Mind you - mine was started in 2003 and although it looks like a house from the outside, it's still not finished !!!
Where does the time go?
What a fantastic future to have in front of you! Have you considered hiring a live in cleaner? Lol
Looking good Curt - you must be SO excited. If a live in cleaner isn't required could I put myself up for the position of live in gardener?!?
Seriously, really pleased for you both :-)
Aye up Becky LTNS are you gonna be making the pilgrimage to Arillas this year ?
Tony
Who knows what the future will bring ?
Gardeners ? Cleaners ? possibly not ... but house sitters that like Cats & Parrots while we return to see family will be most welcome !
We're not there yet and it could still be a while ....
Geoff ... yes the frame in 2009 ... it does seem a long time ago !!
and of course now we have paid for most of it the Euro has decided to fall against the £ !!
It doesn't matter on £20 but on £20,000 !! ouch !
Ta Ta ....
hi curt
