It's a magnificent slice of our Arillas as the pictures show. Surely there must be a family who want to live there and have the money to do it. Sadly, Angie we don't. Or we would be negotiating instead of posting. Lovely position near the Tria. Surely you must find someone who not only wants, but can buy it.

I know I'm biased, but I'd buy it like a shot - in fact I did!! lol.
Perhaps I should point out that we bought about 5 years ago, and despite the recession, it has still proved to have been an excellant investment. In fact, there was an article in one of this weeks papers ( - I forget which, the Guardian or Independant, I think) which said that now is the time to buy, particularly in Greece!!
So come on Peeps, don't risk your savings in the bank, or plough your pension lump sums into the stock markets, or stick your redundancy payment under the bed - LIVE THE DREAM!!! - and earn a good income doing holiday lets!

I've been nosing around this plot and it looks a very good place to build indeed.It has all to offer someone who wants pricacy ( And you get that with the layout because of the size of the plot - Interesting. - Access is also easy and will save the buyer quite a few euros I would imagine.
I think a joint venture for two as a Villa built to rent could bring high rewards here.
( Two couples share the cost - Hmmmmmm! )

I didn't have the courage to buy in Greece, even though I could afford it, but it just seemed too complicated. Still, I'm going to live my dream by renting a house.
Sadly not in Arillas, but in another beautiful location on the lovely Island Corfu.

Land sales are very slow here, at the moment. However you have,in my opinion, one of the better plots that could be on offer.
With Tropicana sold to a syndicate and Forum pals looking at that block of appts then, maybe this new way of purchasing a little sun could catch on.
2 small Villas on your land, built to owners spec, and with shared small pool and shared drainage etc. Joint venture and you also know who your neighbours would be.

It is buildable up to 200 square metres so it may even be possible to get a syndicate together and build a small appartment block (say, 4 x appartments) to split the cost even further.

I hope you don't mind, but we had a look when we were there last summer, and I must say I loved it. Sadly , unless the numbers come up , we aren't really in the running but we can dream.... :)

This land is is a super location and, with builders crying out for work here, it could be a good time to buy n build.
I confess that Wegg n I have toyed with the idea as we want to be closer to Arillas, - ( Saves pranging the car on the way home! )
I still maintain that "buy to rent" is a super option and with a small syndicate you reserve dates for yourselves and rent the other weeks.
And.... why budget for a pool? - There's a bigggg one just 7 minutes away.

Thinking about this, and Sandy's lil ole "tongue in cheek" comment.
Just wondering if there would be a possibility of a camp/caravan site here.
After all, St George has a camp site.
So buy a section/plot, install caravan, and a very cheap yearly holiday, maybe.
Sell all the plots and a super little commune of Arillas lovers.

Actually, I've just been reading some very interesting posts on the Agri forum.
People were discussing the possibility of buying a plot and putting a Static Caravan on it, so I decided to have a look at static caravan prices.
You can pick up a decent second hand static caravan ,3 double bedrooms, for as little as £5,000!!!!( - as long as you don't mind how old it is). Then, about £2000 say (-prices vary hugely) to transport it to Corfu.
A potentially very cheap alternative to a new build , plus I don't think you would need planning permission if it was sited on an earth base, rather than concrete.

The Caravan idea that I had was not "Tongue in Cheek" I have seen 2/3 caravans around Karousades in, what I think are good sized plots.
And I;ve seen people outside their nice 'lil 'ole plot of paradise taking in what the laid back area has to offer.-This cannot be bad and I have a twinge of envy every time I drive past on my way to the Post Office.
So, Caravan plots in Cornwall etc etc, Caravan and Camping parks in France.
Why not North Corfu then?
( There are 3 camping parks around the North here, that I know of )
Nothing is impossible , just find a way around it.

Believe in that Angie. So far in our lives, whenever Jen and I have faced a tough financial problem, something we didn't expect came around the corner and fixed it. Even the controversial affair over Filipos. Jen won a car in a competition she would never have even known about without C'shells having her article in Take a Break magazine.
We have always assumed that our luck will run out one day, but so far so good. And in truth, we haven't got many hedges to jump before we do what we really want. Live in Arillas for most of every year.
