Err... but May's been available for a while: it's June onwards we're nervously waiting for ... now, do I go home from work early and hope they wait til after 5:30 ... or wait and hope they're before then (or after 6:30)?  Decisions, decisions ...

Thanks for that Viv, really interesting. They certainly moved a lot of rubble into the swamp.
I thought the last bit was thought provoking.

But the thing that encourages us most," said an official, "is
that the arriving aircraft are not confined to tourists. Each one
also carries several old countrvwomen or village patriarchs."
These are people who only a few years ago had never ridden
anything but a donkey. This traffic provides a measure not only
of Corfu's close links with the rest of Greece, but also of progress
into twentieth-century methods. It is a real symbol of a proud
future for Corfu.

That really did turn out to be right.

Hey Riggers, this year it was the silly-o-clock 5:45am going to Corfu as an option (huge amount of fun with 3 tired and grumpy whining 'angels'-not to mention their 'old-enough-to-know-better dad (just DEAL with it!!) so 5 at night suits me JUST FINE! only plus point is that we landed at the Marinaki around 1pm sun blazing and wangling an extra day....

I love silly o clock going to corfu, can't beat it. We checked in at 4.00 am both times this year. Hmm just coming back late i don't like, but i can deal with it. :)

True, True.  Thanks Viv by the way for the departure time info. One more thing, NOT that I am in denial of my debts or having SLEEPLESS nights about the recession, but if I book then can't use muy flights, how much is it to transfer them to another date or (perish the thought) change name on flights?

Attention, attention this is a message for all Easyjet passengers awaiting departure to Corfu. We are sorry but due to technical problems, beyond our control, the 2010 flight schedule has been delayed.

Would all prospective passengers please wait in their lounges  and watch their  PC screens for further updates.

The delay may last until tomorrow, in which case we will try to provide accommodating entertainment, through the night, via the Arillas forum. and website.

Please be aware that there may be a surcharge  for using up valuable bandwidth on our servers.

Phil, I see Bristol is Live now - we are waiting for Manchester to do a comparison - being in the Midlands its about the same to do Bristol or Manchester so waiting to see which has better flying times and price!
Title: Re: easy jet flights
Post by: justphil on November 05, 2009, 12:04:07 PM
Well we overslept, but woo hoo!!! we're booked from Bristol. Peak season - 12 July to 26 July - 2 hold bags - £145 each all in.

That is less than we paid last year from Gatwick, and miles less than the Bristol prices were then.

Phil and Jen are spectacularly happy bunnies now!!!

Good luck to all of yous

Didn't think much to the prices from Gatwick, much more expensive than last year. Would have only saved £200 to fly from Gatwick.  then get there and find a B & B again, which was £100 last year.  Finally opted for flythomascook from Birmingham. Easier and probably works out £20 more expensive, but no travelling the day before, B & B and also the taxi to the airport.  July 26 - Aug 16 happy days....

Aw shucks Sandy - you'll have em all thinking we've had a tiff.... Not true.

Will be sad to miss you again, but we are yet again at the mercy of the academic year. But after July, it's anyones guess what we'll do. Even we don't know yet. PaulC suggested on Facebook earlier that we just didn't bother to catch the flight back. I can see mileage in that...
