Title: Marina Hotel
Post by: sharonF on September 24, 2009, 05:55:23 PM
Just when I thought Arillas couldnt get any better, it did, the moment I walked into room 104 at the Marina Hotel.  A fabulous view met my eyes, just what I needed, i could have cried.  And that was just the start of a fabulous weeks holiday.  A spacious, clean, modern room with a proper double bed!  A TV with good satellite channels.  A comfy armchair and small table, dressing table, fully tiled bathroom with hot shower.  Good sized balcony, with a gorgeous view over the pool and to the sea, with Gravia direct in my eye line.

Breakfast is buffet style, with toast, cereal and fresh fruit salad.  A full english or anything else you want for just a few extra euros.

FAntastic service with a smile every morning, Vasilis was friendly and funny, we really loved it.

Highly recommend this hotel for clean, comfortable rooms, great food and excellent value for money.  Cant wait to return.

Sharon x

p.s. will post photos when i suss it out.  Mary, still cant do it, how do i get an address for my pics?? xxx

Phil a wind break on the beach would be just as good as any place for you.
As long as you are there I know you would not care where you lay your head at night,
or not.  A night in the Nut or the Rainbow would be a good place for the start of a brand new day.

Going to miss you and Jen this time (wish you could be with us again) but heres to next summer.
love from Dot & John

Thanks everybody, it was lovely to wake up to the sound of the sea, really recommend it.

LOL, Barry that looks cheap and cheerful, a real room with a view, hahaha.

Eileen, yes it was ;)

Georgia, it was lovely to meet you, yes we went horseriding it was a lovely couple of hours through the olive groves and the horses are happy and well looked after. Have pm you.

Also, the Marina Pool and Bar run by Sharon, was excellent.  Sharon and Kerry who helps out are lots of fun, and the pool is clean and well kept.

Well done Sharon.  Excellent photos for anyone considering staying in the Marina.  I'm sure that was the room Ashley and I stayed in a couple of years ago.  Great for people watching!!

We're booked to stay at the Marina next August, can't wait!  Stayed at the apartments last year and they were great but decided to go for the hotel next year as the rooms look really nice and the views great.

Where did you go horseriding Sharon?

Hi Fiona,

You will love the hotel, it was lovely to wake up to the sea.

We booked the horse riding at Olga's travel, it was near Roda, they take you in a minibus.  Recommend it, the horses know exactly where they are going, its just a gentle walk through the countryside.  The horses are happy and looked after well.

I'll put some pics on.

p.s. Linda, I'll put THAT one on as well, lol. xxx

You will love it Viv, we were on the first floor 3rd from the end!

If we had gone back this year we would have stayed in the Marina again, we really loved it.  It will be next year before we go back, unfortunately, so let us know what you thought of it.
