Arillas Beach 14 August 2009

Today and the following weekend will be the busiest days of the season as August 15 is the third most important religious holiday in Greece after Easter and Christmas. The entire country is virtually shut down, and everyone takes advantage of the long weekend to go to the beach in combination with the celebration of  Panagia (Virgin Mary) who's ascent to the heavens is commemorated during this day.

The beach is looking good now.
I am so jealous of everyone who has yet to travel there this year
