Hi.
I cannot go on holiday without my own pillowcases or chair. I drive my hubby mad!
I have little interest in masses of clothes but love pillowcases ( dont go out in them!). Not that lovely linen is not supplied!
What other strange things do people take!

Books...books...books. I can't bear the thought of boarding the plane without my holiday supply. As soon as I'm settled and the plane takes off my new book is out and my holiday has seriously started. YESSSS!! OMG'D's just the thought of sitting in Eftihia with my book and a drink sends me into ecstasy! (sad or wot?!!)

hi Eileen
I take a fold in a bag chair. It weighs about 6kg and has a handle. This year i am taking one with flowers on! It was from Wollies, it is comfy to read in. I always take one and then i will leave it there for someone else. not worth bringing home. It is useful as i know i will be comfy even on beach or will go in hire car.
Every year my hubby Stephen says we are not taking that chair again, i am not carrying it!! But of course i get my own way and it always comes in useful. You will know who i am when you see me in it. Bright blue with multicloloured flowers on!
To be honest it is a good idea as if i want to go to beach for short time i dont have to hire bed. I will hire bed for sunbathing but sometimes i get bored and only want 30mins!!
Never any problem at airport, someyears i am not sure they even count it as alowance as you have to take it to different area to hand in like a buggy!! It isnt heavy at all. (always fly from leeds)
Why not give it a try!!!

Jo jo I think it's a great idea, especially when you only want to go to the beach for a few hours. I might just give it a try.
You should be easy to spot so I'll look out for you.

I don't need anything. Not even clothes... But I have to follow the social mores and wear something in the tavernas and bars. I could live in a tent on the beach and be happy, as long as I had enough for the next Mythos. And Roula's sofrito...
Yes it's Phil again (no apologies)

I don't need anything.
Ah Phil - I beg to differ here. You have to take your LIver and of course Jen as I feel you would find it very difficult to live without both!

I just weighed my chair and it is only 3kg!! So I would strongly recommend taking one to anyone. They are about 8-10 quid in Camping stores. I love being comfy! Never get much time to sit at home so its a must. Never have any problems at airport.
When the kids were little we used to take an ice box, oars for a dingy and parasol for beach. All these went every year (the same ones!!) Eventually we had to abandon the parasol in Majorca but it was a trusted friend!!
I am not tight i spend on other things but I like the comfort!! Do come and find me at the kaloudis!! Spot the chair!! or on the beach!!

Well i normally take a small toaster! Everybody uses it or eats the toast, but all take the mickey especially my husband!! Every year i plan to leave it behind but always find a space for it in the end. It is very well travelled!

What a brilliant idea Annie!!
I may have to copy!!! Cant beat Toast when you fancy a snack! Especially with kids!

Any other tips from any one?

Also take Marmite as the mozzies dont like it!
They love it or hate it!!!

Sometimes I have taken a wire mesh toaster, one that you can use for camping, weighs nothing, just put it on top of the cooker rings. I dont bother so much about that now but I do take egg cups! One year Lisa and Steve asked if we could take out a couple for them whilst they were there.. they were in the studio next to us at the Bardis- see you can never have enough egg cups! I take most things I need.
-
Well, I would say my hair dryer, but I forgot it this year!
