No, but we've bought our currency online from International Currency Exchange and got 1.085 last week, ready for visiting this Friday. Think that was pretty reasonable!

Hi Janis!
Got my dosh from the local 'Thomson' travel shop. Rate as yours, but with a 'guarantee' buy back price at the same rate. Also got Euro American Express Travelers Cheques for the first time this year. The rep said there was less hassle with the exchange, as you get 'face value'. We'll see!

Martin.

Hi Martin - I'm soo looking forward to going back to Arillas I don't think we'll need the buy-back feature!   lol

Hi Janis!
It's only money and a great place to spend it! Getting excited/and a bit nervous at the moment. I'll be ok once I'm on that plane, but the traveling alone bit always 'kicks in' just before my holls. Three days to go!
Yammas,
Martin.

Hi Martin - I'm a queer bird when it comes to travelling - I absolutely hate the flying bit, and don't usually settle until we've actually arrived and are sitting down having our first (alocoholic) drink! Nothing to do with the booze, really - I'm just not happy with the travel bit. I use to be absolutely terrified on a plane, but now I manage to control it OK.
Also, I generally like to get everything unpacked and put away before I venture out, although we're arriving at Kaloudis just before midnight, so I think the unpacking will have to wait until the next morning! I'll send Barry down to the shop for some fresh fruit and juice while I get sorted

Hi, Jo - Crown Currency Exchange quoted us a better rate than the one we got from International Currency Exchange, but we may not have got it in time as we fly in two days. Didn't want to risk it, but next time will order a couple of weeks in advance...
I'd go for it if I were you!
