Title: Arillas in June.

Hi, everyone.  We all know about the Wine Festival in September, but I was wondering if there is anything similar in June. If not in Arillas, then maybe Kerkyra itself or surrounding villages? 
                                        If not, then we`ll have to make do with our own `festival` with all of you who are there.  As we have not been in June before, what sort of temperatures can we expect? ( Ok I know, two topics here, but first question is the main one.)

Hi Paul,

Three years ago I was at a festival in the 'square' outside Analypsi Church.  There was a band, dancing, beer, retsina and souvalki.  If I remember rightly the band started playing about 9pm but the party didn't really get started until well after midnight.  Look out for little posters around Arillas announcing the event.

I can't remember when the Beach Festival is held, I've always missed it which is a pity because it sounds great fun.

What date is the september wine festival? anyone know?

Hi Kess, As the past hmhm years nobody knows for poss until 3-4 weeks before because it depends what the grapes are like but it is aimed at the second Friday Sat and Sunday in September.

Last June there was a festival in Afionas in June. We had planned to go but I was having problems with labrinthitis so didn't make it. I think it was about the 20th.

We always used to go in June when the kids were little and I would say that the temperatures were sweltering.  Infact, I would say better than July/August.

I can certainly agree with you Jo about the weather. It has never let us down in the last four Junes.

I agree with Jo...June is always boiling and I find August is often cooler because the wind tends to get up a bit more then.

I agree about the weather in June.We usually go in August also and June is by far the hotter.

Hi Paul
We always go at the end of June and it is usually during a heat wave.  Always had fantasic weather.
Secondly, for the last few years we have dropped on the music festival which they hold on the sea front in Arillas, this is fantastic as the kids dress up in traditional costume and dance and music is played, plenty of wine and food.  Great night!

Oops, think I've made a mistake then....

We normally ( the last 2 years) come to Arillas in May, however this year we're coming in June...

I'm not one for hot sticky humidity... have I boobed?

We love going in June. We've had some rain but not normally for long though last year we did have a huge storm. One year the days were lovely but the evenings went so cold Thalassa lit the portable heater for us.
It's never been so hot that you can't to escape the heat. Also love it that the nights stay light later.
I'm sure this year will be lovely again.
