Does anyone know if The Akti Arillas does independent booking?

Yes they do, I think they have about 15 rooms they book independantly.  Ive just returned from there and am going to book direct with them for next year.

I know sharon read your post with interest. We stayed at the appartment above Ina's gift shop opposite Akti and often went there late evening. Loved it! Spiros and Monica were so lovely

WE found the Akti to be a fantastic place this year.  the people were so friendly and it was lovely to while away an hour or two in their lovely new bar area sipping a baileys and Southern Comfort (not together!).  As much as we love the Coconut, we felt it was the perfect place for a quiet drink.  We enquired about a room for our late departure and were given an amazing price of 30E per night. Obviously it could be a different price for a longer stay but it is somewhere we would definitely recommend, despite its close proximity to the bars.

We have had a couple of evenings at the Atki this last couple of weeks and can only say what a lovely team they have running the place and what a nice place.

This was our first time setting foot in the place. The new pool has really raised its profile.

I believe they are staying open in the winter this year.

Really useful information CorfuSoon. We hope to be in Arillas winter of 2009, and kmowing akti is open will help us make that decision.

Thanks

We had a lovely chat one night with Spiros and he was telling us his ideas for Winter in the Akti, he wants to have a log fire put in and have trips organised such as going picking olives with them and then producing the olives amongst other things.  We would definately do it.

What a good idea!!

How about fishing trips as well ? They could do 'theme' winter holidays. I'm sure there are lots of other things , like Greek cooking, or wine tasting (!!), etc.

Sounds good to me!!

He's open to suggestions, he really wants to make a go of it.  We suggested the fishig trips to him and he wants to include as many things as possible.  Imagine going out olive picking all day, then coming back to the akti, having a lovely meal and sitting round the log fire.  Lovely.

Would love the idea of a cookery course.Did a day one in Italy where it was a mixture of a demonstration and then preparation of lunch as a group. It was such fun.

That sounds bliss, winter in Arillas, staying in the Akti and doing activities like picking olives, nice alternative sort of holiday and it would be great to see what people do in the Winter.

Love
