Hi eveyone AL here, 1st post on this board.
Been coming to the wonderful place of Arillas for many years now.
Originally the wife, Jo and i used to stay at the Kaloudis .
Three years ago we couldnt get in so booked up with Spiros at the Akti.
We have stayed there now for the last 2 years and just love the place.
Which leads me to my question if anyone knows.
Spiros informs me that they have been upgrading the hotel,or as Monika puts it (Spiros girlfriend) the atomic bomb has hit it.Just wondering if anyone knows what the progress is like and whats new?

Hi Al. Welcome to the forum.

Have a look at Arillas Today for Eggy's regular posts. He has some details of the work going on there. Or use Akti in the search.

Have you caught up with "forum corner" on another thread? Every Tuesday at 8pm, forum members who wish to will be meeting in the Coconut. Jen and me will be there on 8th and 15th July. Might see you if you're out for 2 weeks or more.

Hi al, and welcome. Last summer, we were shown the renovations done in one of the upsatirs rooms, and it was beautiful. All mod cons. I`m not sure how many rooms have been done, but it was very tasteful.

When we were there last year the sister in law stayed in one of the new rooms and they were really nice.
Spiros kept us our old room from the year before bless him but this year have hopefully,fingers crossed got a new one, he has promised us anyway lol.
Rumour has it maybe a pool there this year

hello al, according to one of eggys posts there is going to be a pool at the akti, should be finished by may. me and my husband martin  are staying there too, we will be there on the 23rd june for 2 weeks so we will see you around! not long now cant wait!

I'm just waiting now for the tiling to be started and I'll post another picture.

Stammatis and son know there is a lot of UK interest in the build and feel quite proud that others show a keen interest.

Well,reservations done,confirmed,Corfu here we come...in september :)

The pool is just just about finished and looking good.

I haven't done any more pics as they want it all to be a suprise for their guests.

My son's stayed there last year. I think my eldest one will be going this year so i am sure he will having the pleasure of a dip....

We`ve stayed there too. Very nice. The best thing was seeing Spiros in the morning, silly hours, but with a lovely coffee.

Hi everyone i spoke to Spiros and Monika just the other night they are very busy and stressed lol
Hope they dont forget to pick me up from the airport haha
