We are looking to stay here if we can.. has anyone stayed here recently...
I have emailed for info... but do they have a pool.. I expect it all the basic stuff and is it behind the arillas car hire place?
Just had a look on the map.... I think its past the bakery towards San Stef. up that horrible hill on the bend... is that right? We have always come down it but never walked up it, so I think its a no no with our creaky bones!

Yes blondegirl...that's the place and it has a pool. Have never stayed there myself but there are very positive reports about it on the forum and everyone says Anna is lovely. You could also try Marinaki on the sea front...send a pm to Jo Wissett for details as she always stays there.

No-one's more creaky than Jen, but we will be staying there in early July for two weeks. The walk up/down isn't beyond Jen so for us there is no problem.
There is always the "cake shop" a bit further down to have a rest and a drink (or delicious ice cream and cake) on the way up. We do that too. But we have good friends even further up and we have stayed most often with Alecos Sgouros even further up than that.
Sandy tells the truth about Anna and family - they are special. Incredibly honest and welcoming people with enormous capacity to make you feel good. They have a lovely pool which Jen has used often (I prefer to swim in the sea at the far end of the beach if you know what I mean. No soggy shorts!)
Prices are good, the place is good, the people are even better, so we uderstand why there are such good reports on the forum.
You have to decide about the hill, but I can recommend Anna's place even in spite of that.

We stayed at Anna`s this May. It`s a lovely place, and the family are very hospitable. The apartment was a good size, very clean, and all we needed was there. Anna does a lovely bacon, tomato and bread breakfast for me, it`s great. There are other things of course. I`m a bit creaky, but just take your time on the way up, and have an ouzo to break the journey. After all, there`s no need to hurry on holiday. If like my old man, you may lose your balance, and end up taking a rest in the hedge near the bakery! Have a great time if you go.

We've done hedges, both of us, but usually because we had too many black russians in the Coconut!

This is my first week in Arillas, staying at Anna's. I have been visiting Arillas for 11 years and choose different accommodation every year however after staying here I will definetaly come back.
The accomodation is big and very very clean. The shower is fab, it is wall mounted which makes things so much easier, if you know what I mean....
The hosptality of Anna, Kostas and the boys is wonderful.

Gata you couldn't have done better. Give Anna Kostas Theo and Tasos our love. We will be there in person in two weeks time to say it ourselves. You just said what Jen and me feel.

Another great day at Anna's. she is very busy. She is busy all summer with only a few rooms for July and August. So if your looking for a good place you better move soon as she cannot keep up with the emails she is receiving. Infact the reviews say it all.
