From Decemeber this year TransPennine Express will be introducing through trains from Manchester Airport to Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Straight to the airport...great stuff...now it gives us more options for getting to Corfu.

Looks like I will have to start Googling Transpennine Express, I've never heard of them before.

They offer a good service Eileen.  Have been running a service from Sheffield to Manchester Airport for quite a while.  Have never used it myself, but our Chairman often uses it when he flies to and from the States.

When i spotted it in Railnews(in house paper) i thought that will be quite helpful for Eileen and everyone else up in Scotland

Harold/Fiona,

It will be especially useful to us when we are trying to source out of season flights.  Particularly if we can tie in one of the 'cheapie' train fares with the flight times, it would work out cheaper than the petrol and airport parking costs.
