Title: driving from corfu airport
Post by: alyvin on October 05, 2007, 12:42:58 PM: I am thinking of hiring a car to collect from the airport to save the cost of a transfer. What is it like driving from Corfu airport to Arillas. I am going for a relaxing holiday and don't want to spend my first hour of the holiday fighting with my husband!

why worry. Although keen to get to the hotel and start the holiday proper,we just enjoyed the detour and still managed to get there well before the transfer bus.

Once your out of Corfu town its fairly straightforward. We were lucky this year as the guy who rented us the car was going back to Sidari so he just told us to follow him. When we needed to go our seperate ways he pulled over and gave us directions for the rest of our journey (only about 15 mins)

We arrive at 2210 so by the time we get our luggage and find Theo with the car it will be 11 o'clock.....it usually takes me a couple of days to get used to all the controls being on the wrong side. I'll be fine once I'm out of Corfu town......maybe we could just follow Theo.....
