Title: village sausage
Post by: gaye on September 01, 2007, 09:06:30 PM
Does anyone know whether it's possible to buy either the type of village sausage that they serve in Corfu or equivalent in England?

Gaye
Where we lived in Somerset there was a local "deli" that sold items such as Feta,Olive, whitebait etc. Lidl's in Corfu Town sell it vacuum packed so, maybe, if you have store nearby, you could try them. Or local large supermarket?
Sorry , not much help, ( It's pronounced "loukaniko" I think but I can't find the icon on the keyboard to type how it reads in Greek)

god, woman, you're so impatient. I said I'd research it. Already found greek delis online, even one in Texas... even  got a recipe, but we'd need quite a lot of innards from a freshly killed pig and then some wine and casings and so on. I'll have a go if you don't mind a mess in our kitchen...
