Hi...wondering if someone can help. We as a family love Arillas. We were thinking 9f bringing my mum along with us next July. My mum is a very young 60 and does love a bit of atmosphere at night, loves meeting new people and enjoys a wee tipple or 4!!
I'm just worried whether she will find Arillas too quiet in the evenings, with 2 young kids we usually just have dinner then back to apartment so can't really tell her much. We know there is the coconut bar but just wondering if many people will be there for mum to make friends with and enjoy a drink. Hoping someone can help!! Thanks

Speaking as 60-something myself, I would say that your Mum would be in her element, with the majority of the 'party animals' in her age bracket.
She'll have a whale of a time!
Get it booked!!

Couldn't agree more with Angie 👍🙂

Is it mostly around the coconut and Malibu in the evenings?
-
Coconut and Malibu, but also often in the bar's at accommodation e.g. Rainbow, Tria, Bardis Studios, etc. and you don't have to be staying there. For example last year, we were staying at the Arillas Dream studios (opposite Brouklis) but we spent alot of time at the Rainbow.
Quite a few have their own Greek dancing nights.
Where are you hoping to stay?

Hi thank you all for your replies. Me my husband and 2 kids are booked into Gratselas for 2 weeks. Mum was going to fly out for a week of our holiday but we were worried it would be too quiet for her. Bardis would be close enough....would worry about her walking back from Tria or Rainbow!!

Bardis Studios is very close to yiu and Coconut not much further

As a couple of 60 somethings, we stay at gratsela, just a stones throw from mirage, I can recommend their cocktails! Further down the front to marina pool bar, which has a lovely evening vibe as does ammos.
Then for some great music head off to Malibu. I can definitely say your mum will not be bored, in fact she might want to go with you for two weeks……….🤣

Thanks Ger. I think we will see a difference going in July next year, we went very end of Aug this year and we thought the evenings were very quiet. The time before that was May and it was much much quieter! Suppose this year was affected by the recent world events too...maybe next year confidence will be higher!
I've told her she will be exhausted after trying to keep up with the kids all day anyway lol 😆

I think one thing to bear in mind, is that july/August is very hot and people tend to eat later. Consequently, things don't generally 'liven up', until at least 9.00/10.00pm , possibly when you're putting the kids to bed?

We stay at Bardis studios and they have a quiz night once a week. We socialise in the bar at the studios. The family are very welcoming and people often go in the bar that are not staying there. I know Truth (Karl) goes in the bar even though he does not stay there so he can also vouch for how friendly it is. 😉

All your Mum has to do is enter and I bet somebody will say, are you by yourself, come and join us, xx

Yep! I'm only allowed in on an evening and am barred from staying there due to behaviour issues 🤣🤣🤣

Thanks Angie and Sonia! That has helped me a lot!
Vivian....I didn't think any less knowing Arillas and those who visit. Definitely the most welcoming place we have been to.
Lol Truth 😄
