Title: Headland 2018
Post by: suzy61 on May 30, 2018, 11:28:13 AM
Has anyone walked from Arillas this year up to Gravia, Akrotiri, the little chapel or into San Stephenos along the headland? If so, is it much the same as last year or are there any more diversions due to safety away from the cliff edge?
Love that walk...day and night

We walked from Arillas over the headland to San Stef a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely fine. There are a couple of places where the cliff has subsided over the Winter but there is plenty of room to get by and no danger. When we went there had been some heavy rain so it was a bit muddy and slippery in places but not really a problem. Akrotiri perfect for halfway stop for liquid refreshment and a snack and the views as awesome as ever.

We have two refreshment stops. Gravia and then Akrotiri. Makes we wonder how we managed it before those two were there. Lol.

So pleased to hear that...thankyou
I know what you mean Sonia with the stops on the way. We usually stop at Gravia on the way and Akrotiri on the way back!
Both places are great during the evening too but don't forget your torch unless you walk the long way back along the road which is also a lovely walk.

We’ve done that walk a few times down in to san stef had breakfast on the beach and slow walk back. This year if we don’t make it all the way we will stop at Akrotiri, looking forward to that
