Noticed a couple of weeks ago that Eggy had mentioned on the Arillas Today thread that Gary had left for the UK.
Is this the same Gary that ran the boat hire and if so does anyone know if it will be possible to hire a boat this Year?
In other Years we have popped over to San Stef but Last Year Gary was based on Arillas beach which was obviously handier but would not be fussed if we had to go to San Stef again.
Thanks

Hi,I see nobody has replied to this post,I too would like information about boat hire.
Can you perhaps give me some information in general about your past experience of boat hire in arrilas/San stefanos ,
how much is it usually per hour or day
Is the cost per boat or per person
How far can are you allowed to travel are there restrictions for safety reasons for example is it possible to go to the other coast of Corfu on the east side or would this be too long a journey or not possible for other reasons
Thankyou
You can read all about boat hire on the Forum - http://www.arillas.com/boat-hire (http://www.arillas.com/boat-hire)
We have hired out boats for the last few years, through Gary, but they all come from San Stefanos boat hire.
As Gary isn't there this year I will probably just contact Noula - see here - http://www.san-stefano.gr/boat_hire.php (http://www.san-stefano.gr/boat_hire.php)
You can go as far as Sidari in the North and Paleokastritsa to the South.
Great fun as seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_MCkGZ0BkA (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_MCkGZ0BkA)
We took Terry's advise a couple of Years ago & contacted Noula - Great Service - When the boats were moored at San Steph she collected us from our accommodation and took us back again at the end of the day.
From memory boat hire was 70 Euros for the day and petrol is extra - BUT - be warned the faster you go the more you use - Twice we have had to swap over to the spare tank but as you can see from Terry's video it is great fun skimming across the sea.
For the quiter moments I take a telescopic rod & do a spot of fishing whilst Jill soaks up the sun & we drink/eat from our coolbox.
Look forward to our boat trips every Year - Can't wait!!

We stopped suddenly last year when the initial petrol tank was emptied. Its quite strange when you go from a noisy motor to complete quietness and are just floating and bobbing about on the sea. It's always a relief when the priming from the reserve tank works and the motor restarts.
If nobody, on the trip, has used one of these boats before, it's well worth taking extra time to listen to all of the instructions, especially about how to use the reserve fuel tank. Make sure your mobile phone is charged and in a plastic bag along with any cameras, and take plenty of water with you.
The first time we hired a boat we were a little optimistic with have far we could get on a tank of fuel, we first did Sidari before traveling to Paleo, we had to then get a taxi to the nearest petrol station to refuel.
