We are holidaying in Arillas again in June this year, can any one out there advise if there is a ferry timetable from San Stefano to Mathraki. We have been to Arillas for the last four years and never been over to this island but would like to give this a try this year, any advise would be gratefully received.
Book with the local travel in the village ...think the boat makes provisions journeys twice a week.
We always said each holiday we would go and last year we finally did we had a coach from the office on the agents just down from Armourada to San Steph and caught the ferry across it is a most beautiful island well worth the trip
Yes, book with one of the agents in the village. The ferry itself is an experience as it carries the provisions for the island. It's a bit of a hike to the top of the island but well worth it. Paul and I have walked over the whole of the island during the years we have been there and in my humble opinion it's the most beautiful place in the world. Quirky and totally unspoilt. Don't just keep to the harbour side, because if you want just a beach, you may as well stay in Arillas. Neither of us are up to it nowadays but every year I say that we must do it again (in my dreams). We have even walked along the beach on the far side and explored inside the island. It's bigger than you think when you're walking. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed. :)
