Normally I would eat at the Marina because I don't know of anywhere else that does an English type. breakfast. Have you got any recommendations?
Someone mentioned to me last year that they went to 'Jimmys' for a really good breakfast but I don't know who or where he is :-)
Portofino do a lovely Full English, also Captains opposite Marvel.
Kaloudis do a fantastic full English although to be fair we have eaten in every tavern and never had a bad breakfast or meal anywhere.
They probably mean Jimmy at the Rainbow and his breakfasts are spot on as are the rest of the establishments we have eaten at I cannot fault any of them :-)
As Anne says Portofino or Captains if your really hungry also Graziela Mirage.
You could have a good breakfast somewhere different every day if you wanted!
Cypress, I'm not a Big Breakfast man, but Jen always has Poppy's Greek breakfast at Bardis Sun Studios. Two bolied eggs (cooked to your choice) feta cheese, tomato with roll and butter and coffee. If I did breakfast, I would do that one. Anywhere that is open will serve you a classic bacon eggs and trimmings. You could try a new one every day if you wanted.

Never considered Portifino for breakfast and don't know why! Will def try there this year. Personally, I love the Marina breakfast which for 5 euro as well as the full english and tea/coffee you also get unlimited self serve juice, toast cereal and fresh fruit salad. And what a view! That said have greatly enjoyed Captains in the past (excellent Fried bread!) And Mirage also lovely.
Mathraki do a fantastic breakfast but we have had great ones at other places. I don't think you could pick a bad place as all are great x

Eating breakfast outside in the sunshine is a real pleasure isn't it?

Bugger .... So I'm the not best Egg in Arillas, any more?
Negg , Eggy , Egg. (Poached , Boiled but often coddled with a scrambled brain)
Neill, you will always be the best Egg in Arillas.
Just don't get scrambled too often ;)

Mathraki is fantastic, Nikos will serve you anything you want, the eggs are from their chickens, amazing food. My personal fave is the Marinaki at the bottom of the donkey track before Kaloudis, English or Greek, its just divine.
take your pick me and ann last year had a breakfast each day for the 2 weeks
You are so right Keith, you can eat somewhere different each day and always be satisfied, if you have a late brunch it's always worth a walk to San Stef and get a gyros in Tasty Corner, superb food.
is that the one that the Australians own ?
No it is local opposite the crossroads, its amazing, your thinking of Ozzy oil.
I am ! I think they have the sandwich shop and another shop?
I usually only eat cereal or fruit for breakfast at home, but one of the things I most look forward to in Arillas is Nic's breakfast at Mathraki. Freshly laid eggs from the chickens that run around in their garden - spent many an hour watching them chase around, or laze in the sun.
Boiled egg, toast, orange juice and coffee - every morning.
Roll on the next three weeks, I'm getting hungry!
Eaten breakfast in a lot of places in Arillas also Porto Timoni also go for bruch at little prince in SS. Hard to choose a best or even second best in Arillas quests it just depends what you want to eat that morning.xx.
Roll on the 26th, I cannot wait, olives, feta, mythos, mmmmm not all for breakfast lol
Just remembered part of best breaking I've ever had was Litsa's fig jam.yummy x
One of our favourite breakfasts is walking up to the bakery and sitting outside eating one of their delicious warm cheese pies (naughty but nice!) with a coffee and having a chat or a simple kalimera to people going in and out of the bakery and just relaxing instead of having to rush off to work Bliss!

You guys are so naughty - here's me dieting in readiness for our trip in 3 weeks and all this talk of food has me drooling LOL
So your back again Heather enjoy :-)
Yes Tony we are, we really loved our first visit, but had already got everything sorted for last year as we celebrated our 40th Anniversary and spent all our money on long haul and Kef of course! ..... we had talked our friend into going last year to Rainbow but he sadly had to cancel as he was diagnosed with oral Cancer.
We are looking forward to arriving back again! Have yet to sort out the Dink but have had a price from Olga...... last year we got it from her but she had got it from a place in San Stef. So will try to find the number direct as it may be cheaper....
It will be Spiros bikes in San Stefanos on the main street

we have been hiring Dinks from spiros for years.
We always walk over from Arillas to San stef the morning after we arrive and hire our dink for the 4-5 weeks of our summer holiday.
Every year he tells us we should call him and he will deliver it to us at bardis sun studios but the walk over and stopping at gravia for an early morning drink lets us know that we have arrived in paradise.
Spiros number is 0030 2663051592 or his mobile is 6946258240
WOW thanks for that. so very helpful. Paul has had a quote from the other scooter place near the cash machine in Arillas and we were thinking of going to them but will give Spiros chance to quote us as they bike we had last time was good. Anyone else used that one i mentioned by the way....
Sorry but seem to have hijacked this thread. i should know better being an Admin on a holiday forum too LOL
Darren_Jane. just to let you know we called Spiros and have booked our Dink for the duration - someone will call to Mathraki morning after we arrive to run Paul over to pick it up - thanks so much for the number X
He remember Paul from almost two years ago too - amazing!
Cant go wrong with a Dink Heather we have always had them until last year and hired a Peugeot i had to leap off and push it with the wife on the back going to Afionas,it just didn't have the power where as the Dinks we have hired in the past have got us to the top of Pantokrator :-)
Can I ask what a Dink is or an I being dumb lol x

It could be something you have with Ice and a slice
The bar man on a few occasions has asked "would you like Ice and a slice in your dink"
Kymco Dink a scooter
Ha ha Ness, I was just about to ask too. Great info. Might well hire one too - in September. Mo x
I dink we have gone of the subject here.
Where do I go for breakfast?? - Not far ..... But then I dink more than I eat during the day.
(I do have 1 brekkie at least once during the Summer at Rainbow , though)
Negg
Yes - defo a case of thread hijack LOL
So back to breakfast then, hate to be boring but the Mathraki breakfast menu is enormous, plus Nic will cook you anything you want for breakfast.....even if it's not on the menu.

A custard pie from the bakery makes an excellent breakfast :) This year though the breakfast is included in our rate at the Marina :)
Guess we shall be having breakfast therefore ...

Angela
The Feta Pies from the Bakery are gorgeous ! We only went in there once this year , which is unusual, but I tried one of these for the first time
Can you remind me where the bakery is - is it the one up past Rainbow on the left? sorry off topic again.. blush!
Yer not wrong , Chuck!
And not off topic as it is a lovely little place. So why not have a different type of breakfast?
Negg
The feta pies with olives and sun dried tomatoes are delicious! Especially for breakfast
as they're still warm...mmm my mouth's watering just thinking about it!

Mmmm and their sublime choc croissants..
