Does anyone know if any of the properties in Arillas welcome guests in early April? Never managed the front end of the season before, but Easter dates mean we might this year.
Any information very welcome. Thinking 7th to 14th April 2014.
Phil
Hopefully the two Easters falling on the same day (20th April) will bring more tourists to Corfu. Not that you dear Phil need any reason to celebrate...every hour spent in Arillas is a celebration of joy for you.
The Marvel was open for business last year...well done to the Marvel for being there for us early visitors :-)
See you next Spring then! xxx
I believe Armourada is also open for guests at that time :)
My Self and some other businessmen of Arillas are currently working on a campaign about opening our season from the second week of April in 2014!!!
We will be able to talk about it after the season is closed as we are all still very busy ..
Watch this space!!!
Excellent news Dimitris...hopefully it'll prove a success and mark the beginning of an earlier start to the season.
(...mind you being totally selfish, there is something so special about having Brouklis almost to ourselves in April) xxx
Early April would be fabulous for us. We have really missed Arillas this year and worry that high summer would be a bit too hot for our three year old. I also have to fit in with school holidays so Easter would be a lovely time of year for us to get away. Will watch this post with great interest!
This year we caught the first Ryanair flight out of Stansted at the end March. We stayed at the Marvel and were made to feel so at home. We had the undivided attention of Costas and Mum Sophia made us traditional Corfiot dishes each day, which were fantastic! We were certainly spoilt :)
We were also made to feel very welcome by all at the Armourada and the Beach Point snack bar whenever we called in. There were a couple of bars open in San Stephanos which we would call in on our travels and the Night Owl was open at weekends too.
It was lovely to see Arillas and the surrounding area starting to wake up and get ready for the holiday season. I think we were fortunate to have a rain free week after the reports we heard of the very wet winter. The weather was great for walking - we walked to Sidari with relative ease compared to summer months and a walk over to St George ended in a scenic trek up the cliff path to Krini then Makrades and back.
We loved it and look forward to visiting again, around the same time of year, as soon as the opportunity arises.
