Does anyone know which places in Arillas are opening from the 3rd of May this year,Looks like Sally and I will have to do seperate holidays this year as the cat is to old and decrepide to leave with anyone.I have written to Bobby at Bardis sun but they dont open till the 10th.
Cheers Harold and Sally
the rainbow use to open early ..or the atki .or what about ina,s..good luck harold
Harold, try Angela's apartments or Villa Maria, checkout there website, in fact Angela posted just last week. Very reasonable.

Harold, Brouklis rooms might suit your needs. I don't know about May, but have always found "the boss" to be my "flexible friend." We have stayed there "all alone and abandoned" at the edge of the season. (Jen and I are never alone and abandoned....)
So understand your dilemma with an ageing cat. We lost ours exactly a year ago.
Good luck with your search.
Phil
Harold Mirage apartments are independent this year, or you could try Stamatis apartments next to the Mirage.
Barry
Hi Harold,
Dorita will be open at The Bardis Sun HOTEL. No 'singles supplement', and breakfast included in the price! Hope to be there myself around the 6th.
Send me a P.M. if you need more info.
All the best,
Martin.
thanks everyone,this looks quite hopefull
I thought just about everywhere would be open for the start of May, obviously I was wrong..... not for the first time and not the last ! lol
TC are advertising the Nafsika (Rainbow) from May 1st-May 8th for £245 per person if someone wants a bargain (flights transfers etc)
Flights with EJ from Gatwick.
Hi Harold, we go on 3rd May and are staying with friends but were told before this was arranged that BS hotel would be open and Mirage but one charges for the room and one by person so judgbeing by what Margin has said I guess we now know which is which. Hope to see you or Sally there. Loads of love to you both Viv & Pete
Hi Viv,
Sally is very reluctant to come away on her own,she needs a break though so i have told her she will be fine in Arillas, she is still not sure though,If it all goes ahead she will be out on the 3rd and fly back the 10th ,i will be coming out on the 10th for two weeks.Sallys flight is about £358 and mine will be £378,then we have the taxis and accommadation so will not be that cheap, but its worth it.
After a lot of discussion between Sally and myself,Sally has said she does not want to go away on her own,so we have decided to give May a miss altogether unless the cat dies before then.Once again thanks to everyone for all their ideas and help.
I can understand how she feels altough we know she would enjoy it one she gets there. Anyway what would she have done without you to carry the lilos the umbrella the picnic. I could have helped her but somehow I doubt Pete and I could have made up for you being with her. Am tempted to say that I hope the poor old cat goes before then, but I dont really. We are home again 27th Sept - 7th Oct .Love to you both Viv & Pete
yesterday(10/05/2013) we had to take the cat to the vets and have her put down,a very upsetting day for both of us.We did try and get a day flight to Corfu within the next two weeks, but sadly all we could find were easy jet from bristol and the flight times are no good,so saturday the 18th we are having 1 week in italy doing a sort of mini tour and staying in a 4star hotel for a change,We will be booking Arillas for the end of September beginning of October time as we want to get back home.
hope to see you all then.
ahhh sorry for your loss harold ,
totaly understand, how you feel as we are going through the same scenario at the mo ,as we have a staff 12yrs old who has cancer she has a b tumour near her tail, but coz its growing outwards she could live for 1 month or 6 i to will be devastated, but were booked for june come what may ,and our daughter will be dog sitting bless her,,,,,,,,,yammas
Oh Harold and Sally - we're so sad to hear about your cat, but it is better than him/her suffering .. our condolences to you both
We'll be heading off to Arillas on Monday for two weeks, but then returning on 23 September so hope to meet you and Sally again then
Love to you both
Janis and Barry xx
Thanks Kevin and Janis, its good that your daughter will be looking after your staffie while you are away.As pet owners we have to do the best for them and not ourselves,Our thoughts go out to you Kevin.
janis have a drink for me when you get to Corfu on 23/09 as its my birthday, think i have booked the week later at work ,though i will need to go in to find out(i cannot remember) and i have just started 20 days leave.
anyway Italy to look forward to first.
have a good holiday to you all
Dear Say & Harold, Devastating news. Go and e joy Italy. We will be home again 27th September to 7th October so will see you then. All our love Viv & Pete
Sad times regarding your pet, Harold. We know what you`re going through as we had to let our Jack Russell, Milo, go to sleep back in January. He was only two years old.
Enjoy your Italian trip!
Paul
ouch paul, thats terrible, while i know our cat ment we could not get to Corfu this May,she was 21 so we had the best years out of her,but 2 years the dogs life was only just starting, such a shame.
just found the dates for the late break, its the 3rd or 4th of october so will be coming home then.
I guess a couple of days overlap is better then none. Love Viv x
Harold, sorry to hear about your cat,I haven't been on the Arillas forum much lately, just catching up!
I was in the same position last year when I lost Henry at the great old age of 20! Now have adopted a huge ginger cat from the local Cats Protection, called him Leo, just 18 months old, great company, and getting along well.
I was wondering who will be 'back home' for September. I will be there, all being well, from 27th. September until 11th. October. Got my answer on one page!
My May trip was from Gatwick, all the flights went well, but the coach from Cardiff was not good. Nearly six hours out, traveling 'overnight', the return trip, flight 15 minutes early, coach on time, but deadlock on the M25, 4 hours to get to Heathrow, picked up there, bad accident at Swindon on the M4, driver ran out of hours so we had an unscheduled stop for an hour and a quarter in the services, then to cap it all, a 'fatal' R.T.A on the Second Seven Crossing AND MORE DEADLOCK. Left Gatwick at 15.45 arrived Cardiff at 01.15 next day!
Guess where my flight is from on the 27th., yes good 'ol Cardiff, with my old mates Thomson! Looks like the 'sale' of the airport to The Welsh Assembly resulted in a few 'sensible' fares to get the ball rolling, all gone back up now though.
Viv and Pete, what time do you arrive? My flight is scheduled for arrival Corfu at 13.05 hrs. Taxi share maybe?
See you all there,
Martin.
Hi, we arrivr all being well at 2245 shouldnt think you want to wait that long for a taxi share. Shame. xx
