Title: Dublin to Corfu ?
Post by: garythebike on April 12, 2011, 07:04:21 PM
Help please. Does anyone know whether it's possible to book a holiday to Arillas departing from Dublin airport ? Apparently Thomson are supposed to be offering a May to September service (Kaloudis and Mathraki) but when I try to book , it won't let me choose Dublin as a departure airport. Can't face the turn around at Gatwick any more ! Any help much appreciated !

Try Sunworld or the Ireland site for Direct holidays. They may not go to Arillas but you may be able to find flights with them as a starting point.

Have found some flights DUB to CFU on the net from beginning June to end August but the prices!!! £450 return per person seems outrageous to me - we just booked Bristol to Corfu in October for £130 per person, all in. Didn't pay a lot more than that for July (booked early.)

As for accommodation, you can make direct bookings with many of the establishments, including Mathraki and part of Kaloudis, and we can all guide you on contacts etc. You'd need to allow up to £100 for transfers by taxi. But at those flight prices I would be resigned to going from Gatwick again....

If I see anything I will post it on here.

Thanks Jen, Phil. Tried Sunworld and as Phil said, flights only are nearly €500. On the bright side they were offering a package holiday for a little over €1100 PER PERSON ! Cheaper to buy a boat and sail there. Obviously no-one has told these people that the Celtic Tiger died years ago. Oh well, unless anyone knows of a better deal it looks like Gatwick here we come (again).
