I remember reading that Terry over the road from Armourada next to Vasilis supermarket that must have taken some collecting over 100 tons of rubbish !
All i can say is well done to the people of Arillas a sterling job,good on you Vasilis.

I agree with that Connie. Hats off to all involved, it's the small things that often make the biggest difference :-)
Vassillis has made it his mission to keep Arillas tidy. And good on him! He made such a difference near where we live, as people were using a place around a tree as a tip. It was a mess, and we didn't know what to do about it. Vassillis sorted it and had all the rubbish moved. (with a little help from the people who live near us, and us and the gypsys who took a load of stuff away.)
He works hard at keeping a check on the village, and I think we should all be very thankful for that. We certainly are.

In May I can remember seeing Vasillis make endless journeys taking rubbish away on his bike I could see he worked really hard. Arillas does look a lot tidier now so well done to everyone who is so proud of their beautiful village

I some times wish that we (the forum) could officially acknowledge something like this. It would be difficult to collect money for something but it would be easy to give Vassillis an "Efahristo" letter. Or a letter that could be added to the existing signs as per the photograph. Or just give him a copy of all the posts on this topic.
The clearance of the the rubbish is just another contributing factor to the magic of Arillas.

Splendid idea Terry. We saw the posters in July, as we were reading them two other families also stopped and we all agreed that it was a superb effort.
