Title: Stuck in Kos
Post by: Paul D on August 02, 2010, 09:37:50 PM
Not Corfu related, but you never know.
Just to say that my sister in law and family should have flown home on Saturday night but are only now leaving. Called off due to fog, alledgedly.
They then had to get off another plane after sitting on the runway for two hours yesterday and today have spent time at a four star hotel.

It just made me think that I have never allowed for any delays coming home as far as money situation goes -  usually skint on the last day!  Will make sure to have enough left from now on. Luckily, we`ve never had a problem like this.( Hope I haven`t jinxed myself!!).
Hopefully all of us yet to arrive in Arillas will have no such problem(sorry, Sandy, I know you were delayed coming home.)

I'm not complaining about that....

My daughter is sitting in Corfu airport as I type. She was due to arrive at Gatwick at 2330- I am going up to collect her....but has text me to say the plane is delayed by 2 hours. Good old Easyjet....and we're both in work tomorrow. So I am now setting off at midnight.....

Must of been the knock on from the day before. Daughter flew to arillas sunday, with a 5.35pm from gatwick, eventually took of at 8pm after sitting an hour and a half on the tarmac waiting for a slot to take off.

The evening Easyjet from Gatwick always seems to be late taking off. Lauren and I finally got home at 3.30am on Tuesday morning....
