Hi all can anyone tell me how far - how long it would take to walk to Nikos's new restaurant & if it is opened yet ? Thanks :-)

Hi Derek,

It would take about 20 mins.

Not sure if it has opened yet but it is due anytime.

Hi John cheers for the reply :-)
Just thought we had better find out seeing as we have to drag a huffy 13yr old with us LOL :-)
Hopefully Nikos should be open by the time we get to Anna's in July

Derek, from Anna's it's a breeze. Just turn right and after Christos apartments, (opposite Kostas' supermarket) the left turn is downhill all the way to San Stefanos. Gravia and Nikos' new place are there as watering holes on the way.
Us? we'll be getting a taxi, or a lift.....

Phil

It's not open yet but should not be too long. If you want to know if it's open before trekking up the hill pop into Thalassa and ask Spiros, he's been working there a lot in his time off and will know when it opens. It looks fantastic and has great views, looking forward to visiting in september.

Latest info. straight from Nikos when I bumped into him in Corfu town this morning was that he was going for a Saturday opening. I've been up there and both the view and the project are looking super,

All the best for Saturday Nikos. How about getting two webcams, one for the wonderful view outside and one to see all the happy people inside. See you early September.

We went to see Nikos this morning and all was looking absolutely fabulous.  No names up yet but we found out it is to be called Akrotiri, which he told us means 'cape'.

We had lovely freshly squeezed orange juice (well, it was a tad early!) He is only serving drinks at present but he hopes to be doing food during this next week.  We shall be paying another visit!

Oh, and for the girls out for eye candy, he has rather a nice young assistant too, so 2 reasons to visit, no 3 incuding drinks!!! ;)   I'll go before I get into any more trouble.....

What are you lot like??? It is the temperature of the Mythos that marks out a taverna. Not the temperature of the bar staff. Hot or not?????????????????

Try telling that to my Mick who flutters his eyelashes at the lovely Hannah for 14 nights!

Ha Ha Jo. So do I. And she even invited me to have coffee with her (and Kostas of course) on the beach after the end of the season. As for eyelashes, I can't afford the volume stuff - I'm obviously NOT worth it.

lmao

Think all the men flutter their eyelashes at the gorgeous Hannah, Mick thinks she is a little Devil since getting married ha ha was a right trouble maker last week but in a nice way ha ha.  One day Mick got ice thrown at him as he walked in to coconut ha ha

I will be asking her all about it Jll. Beans will be spilled!! Nothing is private in Arillas. The truth will out!

I have nothing to hide. The  visitors to the North beach will verify. Very disappointing....

Wish I hadn't said that

Lol, Phil, we only believe half you say anyway!!  ;)  :D

Actually the new young waitress in Kostas on the Beach could get a few male hearts fluttering as well as the lovely Hannah!

Love to All,

Nikos sounds good-must try this summer. Just wondering if anyone knows if Helen's is opened again this year? Last year was their first year and it was quiet. Helen's is the one past the Bardis ( as if you were going to Vavilas and its on the right- near Giannis (Gratziella)apts). My husband and I ate there last year and food was delicious! - Mind you, aren't they all? lol. Ta

If Helen's at the bottom of the road/track up to the night owl then yes it is open this year. Also there's a new garden bar up on the headland, just past Nikos new place. More like a garden with a counter for drinks and ice creams. Didn't go in but it was open a couple of weeks ago, I think it was called Eleni's or something similar. Now if you walk to San Stefanos up the track and along the headland it will take for ever if you stop to have a drink at all the places on the headland. LOL!

Back on topic, we've just been up to Niko's Place, or to give it it's title "Akrotiri" which Niko says means cape or headland. The place is absolutely beautiful and the views are to die for. This is one place you must visit!

Thanks Ivan. We always knew that however hard it was for Jen to get there, we would go this summer. Just used Yahoo, and learned about the Cypriot connection. But like Jen, it reminded me of Santorini. Wonderful name for a new Arillas venture. Can't wait....
