Hello all, we havent been on for ages due to a number of reasons mainly computer playing up!
We know season has just started but has anyone got any info on how much prices have changed with everything going on, we never made it last year we went to rhodes instead and it was a bit pricey while arillas seemed to keep prices reasonable, any basic info appreciated, mind you with all this sunshine we might as well stay here instead (NOT!!)
I got back last week and didn't feel prices had gone up really since last year....all the bars and restaurants seem to be doing their best to keep prices reasonable.
WHOOPS just noticed it should of been PRICES!!!!
So whats the going rate this year for a large Mythos or Royal Ionian?
The prices are very much the same as last year , i was in the nut at the beginning of the month and Mythos was 3 euros
exceedingly happy hour prices ........yammas
That is good. I can get very happy on that price and leave the hard workers a decent tip. I just hope with kevin.g and carolyns parents staying for two weeks just before we arrive that the Mythos levels don't run too low. :-)
gaz
not a chance ..lol....i think its peter cazs dad????????will do our best to run the stocks down .....yammas

Excellent....how do they do it ?
Yes we will save you some Gaz.
I think the lads are going to struggle this year tho .... for them the 'spirits' have more or less doubled in cost price , yet they havent changed their price from last year to the holiday makers ...... most of the food prices were on a par with last year , and car hire was the same aswell, everyone seems to numb about their economic future ...... Perry did mention that he wasnt sure if they would still be there next year ...... so its down to us that love Arillas to help the lads and drink drink drink although reading your post's lads you dont seem to need encouraging .
Mike
Mike we so agree. It would be a tragedy if we lost Perry, Kostas and Hannah from the Coconut. We wouldn't stop going if they raised prices to a realistic level.
Jen and I will be doing our bit in July. And no, most of us on this forum don't need encouraging!! Many would say exactly the opposite!!! (Cheers kev and riggs - have one on us and leave the bill with Hannah till we get there....)
Phil
ahh phil
your generosity shines as your always thinking of others,,id only worry that i,riggs ,connie and many more leave ample supplies for the july crew,my thanks dear freind ...yammas
We thought we'd get round helping them by buying them drinks but it proves as hard as normal to get the buggers to accept ...... always one excuse after the other , yet you always see their glass with some beer in them as they 'top-up' as they walk by the pump .....
We're hoping to get back out later this year , but with next years wedding to finish paying for and our own economic future in the hands of the 'coalition' we will just have to wait and see if its possible ....... if not it will be a year before we can get back, so you all might have to make up for us not returning this year lol
When Perry and Maria's little boy was born Jen and me were determined to buy a round to wet the baby's head, but somehow he engineered it that we didn't. Will have to get a bit more crafty this year....
Hope it works out for you. A year without being in Arillas is my idea of hell.
Phil
The wedding is sorted , even in the economic downturn ....... plumped for a beach wedding in antigua in January ..... hopefully be back out to arillas to celebrate with our friends later thats year after the 'Blessing' in the U.K to keep family happy lol ....
Yes kevin, you must watch peter (Cazs dad) but watch out for pauline, she is a crafty one, one minute the beer is there and the next you are at the bar getting her another. Its Magic!
gazcaz let em know we will see them in the atki .............yammas
Im sure they willhave a good time in the Akti , Spiros is running the bar without Monika this year , she is still working abroad.
No Monika at the Akti? Where is she working? I will miss that unique laugh of hers. Spiros is a wonderful host though, bet he misses her.
My thoughts exactly Gary. Even though we haven't stayed there (yet) we are always made very welcome, and cared for. Akti without Monika is like Thalassa without Yannis. But in both cases I guess they must get on with what they have to do, however much we all miss them.
