Title: Arillas Rocks
Post by: TerryW on May 10, 2010, 06:52:54 PM
This is a very interesting video.

And a very interesting website.

I now recognise the drummer of the band who played at the Coconut last year. I can now say, thanks Simon for a great night, and I hope you play this year - 2010.

Thanks for taking a look! I've been playing music in Arillas and around Corfu for over 12 years - it's a wonderful place. Simon and I are working on creating a great music and cultural experience for kids as well bringing more music to the area. Should be fun for everybody.....

You have a lot of ready-made fans amongst us mikiep. Now if you were to be playing in the Coconut between 13th and 26th July, Jen and me can guarantee you at least two enthusiastic audience members. In truth there would be a lot more.....

Best wishes
Phil

Thanks for the reply Mike and I am so sure it will do what you say, and create a great musical and cultural experience. I think the kids will love it so much that their friends and family, back home, will want to visit Arillas.

I am sure kids from the UK and other countries will also be interested and even some from Corfu because I know that Eleni's daughter Irini, plays rock guitar.

I had a vision of what the music festival could be like if the  traditional dancing and a small piece of rock music came together. I have posted an edited version of a video I have done to recreate a famous video that was shown on The Old Grey Whistle Test many years ago. Can anyone remember it?
