On the forum we have poets, song writers, photographers, story tellers, comedians etc, but do we have any artists?
I personally can't draw anything, but there must be someone who has done a drawing or painting of Arillas.
Here is a painting that hangs on the wall at the Horizon.

It would be nice to see some pictures from fellow Arilliacs
Sounds a bit like myself Terry my artistic streak is limited to stick men, after saying that the stickmen painted on the wall in Arillas always intrigue me lol

Sorry, Terry - I'm not artistic. My dad always used to say "well at least you can draw your wage" - after today I won't be doing that!
I'm sure someone (possibly Phil ???) will make a comment about ..... artist
so I won't!

Used to do a bit of drawing and painting in oils.
Just had a dabble at the paint program on Windows.
Here's my stab at Sara's photo of her view.

I knew there would be an artist somewhere on the forum. How on earth did you do that on Paint, Barry? Its more than a "dabble", its really good. I love the reflection of the railings and the clouds look almost the same as Sara's photo.
Right we have found an artist, how about a sculptor?
Excellent Barry.... Love it :)
Sorry...Terry , I used to do that as well !
Used to make figurines a few years ago.
This was my attempt of a German soldier.
Covered in dust from the loft.

Fantastic Barry. A man of many talents. Love Viv
Thanks Viv !
Hope yer on the mend !
Most impressed, Barry. Well done on picture and sculpture.
lynn xx
That's amazing Barry, I'm glad I asked about a sculptor now, You are indeed a man of many talents, brilliant.
Now :-) can anybody knit?
My Kev is a keen artist however it is F1 cars he specialises in. In the past we have taken art materials with us on holiday, as he has always promised to draw/paint "My Beach" but somehow he has never got round to it. We often sit and plan for the time when we can retire and live in Arillas ,he will have a little art studio and I will potter in the garden ( just a dream I am afraid)
So in the meantime I hope he gets his act together and paints me that picture and I promise I will share it with you all.

Funny you should mention that Terry ........nah can't knit !
Mind you I do dabble with brain surgery , space technology , qualified fighter pilot , accomplished cross dresser , whippet molester and am totally toilet trained !
Oh yes and sometimes when me mam's not looking I go out without me vest on !
Oh yes......I live on a knife edge !
lol barry,
You made me laugh so much I dropped a stich!
Yes I can knit - when I make Phil his Arillas jumper I'll post a pic - too hot out there to wear it though (speedos?)

Barry I love your take on Sara's photo. There are elements of David Hockney there, and as for achieving it in MS Paint I am gobsmacked.
I am more into performing art than visual or 3D art, and guess my artistic streak is in music. I play the flute, but these days mostly the treble recorder. I am not David Munro, but have performed with wonderful accompanists on classical guitar and harpsichord. Lovely memories. But these days I think Janis has got it. p..s artist and Arilliac!
Phil
And it is true - she almost dropped a stitch laughing at your last post Barry. As for speedos, maybe she should present them to our Patrick John?????
Barry I agree with Phil, that painting you did in windows paint is brilliant, I can never seem to do little more that what looks like scribble in paint , it's excellant
Mary :)
