Hi, all. Just been sitting thinking of a crazy idea we all might like to participate in.
Maybe our early-bird visitors could help out.
I know lots of us love doing long walks in the area, especially the one to the old retreat, stopping off at Gravia bar on the way.
Perhaps one of you guys that do the walk in May, or earlier in April, could get hold of some paper and a pen and leave them either in or near to the small church, just off the path. Then whoever makes the walk can sign it. I think in time, there may be loads of forum members on that list. As time passes, the list would grow so by the time I get there I`ll have to add more paper so it could continue.
If you think I`m nuts, then that`s OK- no offence taken. If there isn`t any list when I arrive, I`ll start it off. But if there is, it would be great to see who has signed!!

A really lovely idea Paul. The document will be worth a fortune one day - must be donated to the village.
There is no chance in just two weeks that Jen and me will get that far, unless dragged kicking and screaming from where we belong (ask John and Dot....)
We sat in pub garden today having a smoke, just working out who and when to visit, but realised we can't do it all in so little time.

I like that idea Paul and as most people have phones or cameras with them, pictures could be taken at the moment of signing.

Maybe you could leave it at Nikos place? The church was locked the last time I was up.

Hi Paul,
Niko's hopes to open his place in May, it is on the path about 3/4 of the way up.
Next time I talk to him I canl ask him if we can leave it there and if he says yes. I will take up what you think we need,when we get there (unless you want to do it seeing it was your idea) maybe a nice visitors book on the bar. what do you think. Viv

Excellent idea! Buy a drink and sign the book... It should work well for Nikos as well! Actually Nikos could go one further and take a photo of everyone who signs the book to put up on a board somewhere....
Or is this just going over the top ???

Hi Janis, A book like ghat was started years ago by the Boss, but loads of people turned up without a photo, so we would ALL have to take one with us

Hi all. I'm glad this is going ahead. We will certainly make the effort (well with Nikos' new place opening we were bound to get there somehow...)
Was going to offer to scan it all at the end of season and publish it on here, but realise it doesn't make much sense moving it to UK then back again. But I would love to see all the messges etc that get put in after Jen and me are there in July. We will see it next time we're there, but far to impatient for that!
Maybe we can work out something between us all.

Ok peeps, from the Marinaki, is the quickest way back up the main street, left at Whispers then following the road past Christos?
Jo, you'd get there eventually, but the path up by Kaloudis next door to you would be much quicker. We were planning it last year that way to go to Gravia Bar but got to Kaloudis and settled in for the day. Might just get there this year but no promises...
